Dad. Husband. Coach. Nerd. I want to say nice things about the Oilers but they just make it so damn hard.

The hardest part about the Oilers trying to acquire Kucherov is that the young forward you’d be prepared to trade away already demanded out of Tampa

Used my new X-Men coffee mug for the first time this morning. RIP Sir Patrick, thank you for bringing the Professor to life
All of us at Marvel Studios are deeply saddened by the passing of Sir Patrick Stewart. Sir Patrick brought Professor Charles Xavier to life with extraordinary grace, intelligence, and humanity, defining the character for generations of fans, from "X-Men" to "Logan" to "Avengers: Doomsday." He was a singular talent, a generous collaborator, and a true gentleman. Our hearts go out to his wife Sunny, his children, his friends, and the countless fans around the world whose lives he touched with his art.

Kevin Feige pays tribute to Sir Patrick Stewart “I’ll never forget the first time I saw Sir Patrick Stewart on the set of the first X-Men. After years of knowing him as the inimitable Captain Picard, I was in awe — and he turned out to be everything I had seen on screen and more: brilliant, charming, warm, generous, with a quiet strength and gravitas" "Away from the cameras, he was even more remarkable, with a wonderfully sharp sense of humor. It was a true privilege to know him and to work with him. His legacy lives on not only in decades of extraordinary work, but in the many, many people he mentored. He will be deeply missed"

The more James Gunn talks, the less hope I have for the DCU. He’s an incredible writer and director, but he’s just not fit to run an entire cinematic universe.

Someone take the DCU away from James Gunn. What are we doing?
James Gunn reveals that a ‘POLKA-DOT MAN’ prequel series has been discussed, which would focus on “his mother & her many superhero children.” “It's not in active development, but we talked about it.”

A podcast to discuss whether a movie that came out during the pandemic in 2021 is canon to the DCU four years after launch. We all really need to be more grateful for Kevin Feige. 😭

I’d like to personally thank @Sportsnet for forcing me to find a way to stream their carried NHL games for free, I don’t even need their cable subscription anymore!

It would cost you $250 to watch 9 Oilers games this year. What are we doing?

“I’ve learned to scout on an NHL level” is one of the best sentences this app has ever produced
Replying to @mathewjdp
For the past two years, I’ve been working non-stop on scouting and philosophy because... 1. Public data is always way behind. 2. I want to understand and maybe even align with the private scouting info teams use. After years of research—following clues from team press conferences, looking at player similarities, and reverse-engineering private data concepts into my own methods—I’ve learned to scout on an NHL level. The validation is pretty cool: it’s when the Oilers pick up a player I specifically liked or advocated for (like Skinner, Arvidsson, Savoie, Levi, Mangiapane, and many many more). This isn't really about me, though. It’s about trying to figure out what those private models track and what GMs look for when they’re scouting talent or making roster decisions.

Patrick Mahomes’ decline as a passer needs to be studied. We’re talking about one of the most gifted quarterbacks in NFL history, and now he routinely struggles to complete throws that used to be automatic. It’s honestly baffling. #Chiefskingdom
