Hey @Tusk_UA! I saw that grapes are your favorite snack! @ArkAgResearch has a muscadine grape breeding program! We think you'll love these because they are native to Arkansas and big enough for a strong guy like you! Want some??
I was feeling pretty burnt out on our interminable field season this morning. Then stumbled across the best textured muscadine seedling EVER! This is what makes plant breeding fun!!!
Thanks @AaronJCato and @fruitveg_uaex for having me on Southern Fruitcast! Listen in to learn more about my favorite subject, muscadines!!!
The Southern Fruitcast is back and features @UAFruitBreeding for episode 16 which is all about muscadines.

Blackberries have both citric and malic acids, with citric usually a bit higher than malic. We have a GWAS hit for pH near an ALMT9, which seems promising... If ALMT9 were a candidate gene for subacid flavor, would you expect reduced malic acid only or reduced citric too???
I'm a YouTube star! 🤩🍑 haha
