According to The Verge, an official announcement of The Elder Scrolls VI will happen very soon, even as early as next month. It will be called "The Elder Scrolls VI: Sentinel", and will take place in the province of Hammerfell. The game's story will focus on the Elder Scrolls artifacts themselves, and uncovering the secrets of the Scrolls.

Named after a city and not the whole province? That's new

Multiple games have been named after cities, but Sentinel is also a kingdom.

I dunno, I kinda hope we don’t unravel that mystery personally; I think the Elder Scrolls being as incomprehensible as they are adds to the overall appeal of their impact on the setting. Not to mention, the idea of them being the games themselves in the real world seems plenty uncovered to me, even if only a theory.

I hope not. I love the idea of Hammerfell as a province but I REALLY don’t like the idea of focusing on The Elder Scrolls themselves. Personally I like the idea of them being unknown almost otherworldly objects. Personally I wish they would have focused more on something like the Aldmeri Dominion, or the Dwemer even

The damn Thalmor are gonna win and fuck things up so much that we're gonna have to use the scrolls to fix it all and make sure the world doesn't literally end. A lot of people seem to miss that their end goal is literally deleting reality.

Mark my words, we all know why Bethesda is choosing Hammerfell. Skin color. They are about to make the most insufferable, racial caricature of Redguards you can imagine. The company is incapable of art at this point. If you know, you know.

My big thing? For the love of hell, can we finally interact with the AEDRA? The same way we do with the Daedric Princes?
This right here. Is why I continue to live on. Gimme the scolls 🤤

Being in Elswyr or Valenwood as a resistance member against the Thalmor would've been better. Watch The Moth Priests not get mentioned once despite being the order dedicated to this very thing.

Hammerfell was visited in ES 2. We still have yet to see Elysweyr, Summerset, Black March, and Valenwood. We all know why the chose Hammerfell.

I have to say, I'm not keen on the increasing series shift to being *about* the Elder Scrolls themselves (and making them macguffins) rather than that just being a name referring to the games' stories themselves and being a sort of framing device

Lmao, collecting artifacts, just like Starfield. Never change Bethesda. Can't wait for this to release so my soul can finally be at rest and I can mourn in peace

Great, can't wait to go to my least favorite province for a plot that sounds... lacking. Elder Scrolls have always been a mysterious force interplaying with the plot, not the absolute focus.
