Recovery begins with safety.
After the liberation of Mosul, UNMAS cleared 57 IEDs and 27 suicide-vest explosive devices from the Al-Shifa hospital complex, once used by ISIS.
7,400 m² made safe, medical supplies delivered, and rebuilding is underway. #MineAction

قدّمت ماري ياماشيتا، الممثلة الأممية الرفيعة المستوى، إحاطة إلى مجلس الأمن بشأن الجهود المتواصلة للكشف عن مصير المفقودين منذ حرب الخليج 1990–1991، ومعالجة المسائل العالقة المتعلقة بالممتلكات والمحفوظات الكويتية.

UN Senior Representative Mari Yamashita briefed the Security Council on ongoing efforts to clarify the fate of persons missing since the 1990–1991 Gulf War and address outstanding issues concerning Kuwaiti property and archives.
The briefing highlighted the importance of continued cooperation between Iraq and Kuwait in advancing these humanitarian efforts, in line with Security Council resolution 2792 (2025).
