Bracketball 2026-27 Top 100 CBB Players #46: Jake Hall (New Mexico, G | So.) BUCKET. MWC Freshman of the Year, MWC First Team, MWC Freshman points record, MWC Freshman three-point field goals record; the list goes on. New Mexico is so fortunate that they were able to retain Hall and, as a fan of College Basketball, I am too. It’s good for the sport when superstars like Jake Hall — especially freshmen — are loyal to the school that recruited and ultimately landed them. I hope to see more of it in the years to come. Hall had his choice of pretty much any school in the entire country when he originally entered the transfer portal but decided to remain in Albuquerque with Coach Olen. Hall put up ridiculous numbers as a freshman to the tune of 16.4/3.2/1.6 on 47.9/43.8/80 splits. And 17.5/game in conference play. Unprecedented production and efficiency for a freshman. And the production wasn’t just surface-level either. Hall’s underlying metrics were terrific and the lobos were a very solid team that lost in the NIT Semis to a very good Tulsa team. Hall’s CBBAnalytics page looks like this: 97th %ile: TS%, WARP, EFG%, 96th %ile: 3P%, WS/40, OWS/40 90-95%ile: RAPM, DRAPM, PER, Pts/40, TO% One of very few freshmen in the country to have such efficient and positive metrics all across the board offensively. Hall was also part of a VERY elite group that boasted BPMs above 5.5 and shot above 40% from three on at least 250 attempts: Christian Anderson Donovan Atwell Milan Momcilovic Pryce Sandfort Fletcher Loyer Nijel Pack Tyler Nickel Such an elite group. Christian Anderson was the only other underclassman on this list — a sophomore. Hall was the only Freshman here. Wild. If you’re not buying Jake Hall for next year, you should be now.
