The Bay Area needs a representative who will amplify worker voices when national decisions are being made. @conniechansf has proven to be that person. We’re proud to stand with her alongside Congresswoman @PramilaJayapal on her road to be San Francisco’s next member of Congress.
🏟️ UCSF social workers are covering our bases as we pressure UC to end the two-tier system that puts workers & patients at risk. We distributed flyers at Giants Stadium last week to remind UCSF that while they may be sponsoring the ball game, they’re understaffing their clinics!
After 9 months of inaction to address safety concerns following the death of Alberto Rangel, social workers gathered with electeds and supporters for a “Hands Around Ward 86" vigil.
Despite audits and fines against UCSF, little has changed. We're keeping up the pressure. 🤞
In San Francisco, hundreds of UPTE members came together from across California for our 2026 Statewide Workplace Representative Council. We emerged with more skills shared among us — and more motivation to continue winning on the issues that matter most to our 29,000 members. 💪

Organizing works. UPTE pediatric social workers in UCLA’s Department of Care Coordination & Clinical Social Work have successfully overturned a proposal from management that would’ve significantly disrupted work/life balance.
