5/ MV Odyssey was a 1993 ship (with later upgrades and refurbishment) with only 8 decks, 25,000 tons, rare entertainment, etc. While MSC Seascape's capacity is ~8 times greater, its ratio of passenger volume per passenger is about the same and almost never felt crowded.

4/ I wish MV Odyssey had succeeded. But for perspective, we paid $715/person with all tips for a Deck 11 175 sq. ft. balcony cabin for an entire week on @MSCCruisesUSA MSC Seascape! It had free nightly shows, dance/yoga classes, slides, endless food, etc. nitter.cf/USAS_WW1/status/202772…

3/ $120K for a Deck 2 130 sq. ft. interior villa (cabin) + $5K/month double-occupancy = $120K year/couple seems a lot. $369K for a Deck 7 250 sq. ft. balcony villa + $180K year/couple isn't cheap either! Rent a Deck 7 190 sq. ft. balcony is $1,400/day!

2/ Make the MV Odyssey cruise ship your permanent home was a great idea. All your food, service, medical needs taken care of. 650 residents. Visit 425 destinations in 147 countries including 100 islands in 3.5 years. Buy or rent cabins for $120K to $380K + ~$6K/month per cabin.
