Since the signing of the UN Charter 80 years ago, the U.S. has actively worked in the UN to promote the cause of peace and depart from the eras of devastating conflict. It is time for the UN to get back to basics. In so doing, we can achieve the bold vision of peace and prosperity to which we committed in San Francisco.

The United States vetoed a UN Security Council resolution on Gaza. This resolution would’ve only served to advance the interests of Hamas terrorists, while undermining diplomatic efforts. Any @UN measure should clearly condemn Hamas and call for them to disarm and leave Gaza. The U.S. will continue to stand with Israel.

This was a brazen act of cowardly, antisemitic violence. Make no mistake: we will track down those responsible and bring them to justice.
