Texas is back at DKR this weekend. 🤘☀️
If you’re heading to the game, stay ahead of the heat. Keep water with you, use sunscreen, take breaks when you can, and find shade or air conditioning if you start feeling overheated. UTPD officers will be in and around DKR throughout game day to support a safe environment for our community.

A look at what UTPD has been up to around the Forty Acres this week. 🤘
Our Personal Safety Training instructors led a class for Texas Beach Volleyball, providing practical skills and strategies focused on personal safety and awareness. UTPD also met with Housing and Dining staff at Brackenridge Apartments to share safety tips and answer questions.
We’re always glad to connect with members of the UT Austin community and provide resources that help support a safer campus.

TCSO was honored to join the @ctx_commission and area first responders for the second annual Blessing of the Badges this morning. This year, Texas Task Force 1 was recognized for their exceptional actions when deployed to Ground Zero 25 years ago. We thank them for their service.

Texas takes on Ohio State this weekend 🤘
If you’re heading to the game, make heat safety part of your plan. Start drinking water early, keep hydrating throughout the day and consider bringing electrolyte packets to help replace what you lose in the heat. ☀️
Wear sunscreen, take breaks from the heat when you can and pay attention to how you’re feeling. UTPD officers will be in and around DKR throughout game day to help keep our community safe.

For our community’s awareness, at approximately 10:18 p.m. last night (Sept. 8), Austin Police Department, with assistance from UTPD, arrested Colton Banks for peeping into windows in the 2200 block of San Gabriel Street in West Campus. Banks was released this afternoon. He is the same suspect APD arrested Aug. 17 for similar conduct. As a reminder, we encourage you to be aware of your surroundings, make sure you always lock your doors and windows, and contact law enforcement by dialing 911 or through the LiveSafe app if you see anything suspicious.
