Starting a product of my own has changed how I view the world, for the better. I have a newfound respect for anyone who has started something from scratch. Before, I didn't really imagine the struggle and immense hard work that goes into this.

When we started Align, I wondered whether it was overkill for an early-stage startup to add basic tests across our core functionality (not too many, mostly integration). Now i'm very happy we did. We would've found it hard to make large changes as quickly.

Very happy about all the new @OpenAI pricing changes, model and platform updates. Still wishing for the ability to just run in the EU, but can do that via azure. RIP to all the startups that died today. It's a wild time to be building.

Wish there was a podcast that would just read @matt_levine's newsletter to me every day.

It's an incredible feeling to viscerally feel your work speed up as you learn more about your customers, the domain and your product. Like you're discovering things rather than inventing them.

What's the best alternative for nextjs right now for these needs: - Good dev exp for doing a classic SPA with react-router, react-router, etc, no server rendering for auth'd pages - Ability to server render marketing pages Regret using app router, it's not working out.

My GP is now in the Estonian parliament, so his son is going to be looking after me. Only in Estonia. Great GP by the way.

> it might have felt unnatural to reply “nah but what if the Fed raises rates by 0.25%?” This was an industry with a radical vision for the future of humanity, not a bet on interest rates. Turns out it was a bet on interest rates though. bloomberg.com/opinion/articl… great as always

Years of building @wise as a profitable long-term company is paying off now. We're in such a different place to other tech, who are working on layoffs. So much demand for international banking, we can't hire people fast enough to build it. 385 open roles. wise.jobs/

It's really weird to talk to candidates who are really eager to join, only to find that they haven't tried out the product 3 interviews in. Happens very rarely, but just ???

Underappreciated simple and dumb ritual: A regular QA session with your team where you test the crap out of your application/API/new features It's an expectation that everyone tests what they ship, but having a ritual has helped us find and fix countless bad experiences.
