We need to be very careful when we buy US equipment and software. The US government has shown itself liable to arbitrarily restrict services and access to purchased or rented items and processes. To buy/lease is not to own outright.

This web site is now completely infested with Russian bot messages.

Remember the Budapest Memorandum of 1996? That’s where Russia, the US and the UK acknowledged Ukraine’s independent sovereignty and undertook to protect that. The UK is doing what it can, the US is resiling and Russia has reneged…a huge lesson for us all.

Our economy is once again heavily and negatively influenced by events precipitated by the US. We must move away, rapidly, from that damaging sphere of influence. We have a Commonwealth, we embrace Europe, we have alternatives.

A rare moment of political courage in the British Parliament. British MP Nick Timothy tells Muslims crying “Islamophobia” to shove it: “Muhammad was a false prophet. Britain is not bound by Islam or Sharia.”
What turned the nation that once set the standard for Western civilisation into a people that now hates its own history, sacrifices its own children, and bends the knee to those who want it destroyed? Britain was the moral compass of the free world. Cold, reserved, unsentimental. Never stupid, never suicidal. While America turned the hamburger into a global brand, you drank tea with an accent that announced you as the heirs of Shakespeare, common law, parliamentary government and an empire that had shaped the modern world. You were not ashamed of what made you British. You treated it as a birthright. What changed? How did a people famous for the stiff upper lip become addicted to self-flagellation? How did defending your borders, your culture and your own become a thought crime, while importing those who openly despise everything you represent became a civic virtue? The moment anyone names the pattern, it is not outsiders who come for them. It is their own institutions. You keep open the embassy of the Iranian regime that has plotted terror on British soil and called for the murder of Britons. You sanction the one ally that warned you and helped stop the attack. You send troops abroad while jihadists walk free on your streets. Anyone who points this out is branded the problem by the same establishment that created it. Other nations should study Britain as a warning, not a model. Watch for the symptoms: when your elites treat your own people as the enemy. When patriotism becomes a sin and open borders a sacrament. When the votes of those who reject your civilisation matter more than the safety of those who built it. Britain chose that path. The results are no longer deniable. Protect your own people first. Stop appeasing those who hate you. Enough is enough is enough!

‘X’ is so full of rubbish these days.

In reading these comments about Ukraine and its leader, I’m now convinced that the US is rapidly turning into a very nasty place.

The Russian bots are really going for it today…I thought their bot factory had been blown to smithereens.

The answer to our dinghy problem is quite simple…the FO will issue a directive to state that all applications for asylum or leave to remain must be made outside the UK via our embassies or consulates, to be determined at those places.

If only the Conservatives would embrace the EU. Then hello Downing Street.

What next in this mad prevailing wind from the US? Now we (under threat) are supposed to release stocks of diesel, stored through our prudence, to reduce US prices to help Republicans keep their seats, to keep the mad winds blowing…always in our direction.

Will the US please note that civilised nations ceased the death penalty years ago. Revenge has no place in the panoply of justice. This Old Testament behaviour doesn’t bear scrutiny in the light of what we know. Just stop it.

One would assume that a National Care Service would include both home care and residential care? Not so. Burnham stopped short of the ajar necessary scope required to sort our care issues. Disappointing.

It appears that religions are a curse, handed down to gullible mankind by malevolent ancestors. We must place secularity at the heart of everything. Religious observance must become a rare and bizarre eccentricity. The ‘opium of the people’ must be recognised for what it is,

If we ban the burqua, may we also ban beards…or at least tax them.?

The NHS was launched in August 1948 using a multi billion dollar loan from the US. Will the proposed social care service be similarly funded?

Remove the SAS from any historic investigations or blame for past action. This regiment does what is necessary to protect us, which we are unable to do ourselves. Without them we are, succinctly, toast.

I’m so pleased we are doing so well that we can assign time to deal with drinking at football matches. What a relief.

The UK is a nuclear power. We could regain the use of the Strait of Hormuz by telling Iran that we would use a low yield nuclear weapon to destroy Kharg Island complete with the refinery structures, with 48 hours notice to allow personnel to leave if they don’t comply.?

How was the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, Glasgow, procured? Was it design and build with no architect administering the contract or was Practical Completion awarded too early on another form of procurement. Design and build is an appalling way to proceed.
