Nine out of ten times you see Barcola running with the ball, just know that nothing productive will come out of it. Still early days, but he’s looking like another waste of money by Liverpool

Secretary of War Pete Hegseth has recommended — and President Donald J. Trump has approved — death by U.S. Army firing squad for convicted terrorist Nidal Malik Hasan, the jihadist who opened fire on unarmed American soldiers at Fort Hood in 2009. He killed 13 people and wounded 32 others while shouting “Allahu Akbar” during the attack. The Secretary of the Army will set the time and place of the execution. Judgement day for Hasan has finally come.

Wizarab said that what should matter in politics is good governance, not one’s ability to speak Yoruba fluently. A young Yoruba man did a video, & in that video he said “fuck good governance” “we can’t handover our state to someone who’s not loyal to us.” Immediately I finished watching that video, I wept for these guys. Tribalism has eaten deep into the flash of the Yorubas. To them, tribe comes first before anything. They don’t care about good governance, so far the person there can speak Yoruba fluently. 😭 No wonder thuggery is glorified in the southwest, & begging is their culture. I hope one day you will be freed from this slavery!

Christa Pike was 18 when she killed a classmate in a jealous rage and became one of the youngest women to be sent to death row. Now 50, she is scheduled to be put to death Wednesday in what would be Tennessee’s first execution of a woman in 200 years. abcnews.link/mYq0Jp0

It's interesting how the news emphasis is on vulnerable Afghan and Palestinian women and girls; no mention of the fact that this resettlement route will include husbands and sons. Why is there no refugee route for vulnerable Christians fleeing the horrors of Sudan and Nigeria?
"Government will reopen the UK resettlement route in partnership with the United Nations," Shabana Mahmood says Around a quarter of arrivals will be Afghan women and girls, and Palestinians "who have fled the horrors of Gaza", the home secretary adds bbc.in/3VzjRLR

Football is finished, man. Soon, there won’t even be many people left who actually know how to watch it. Look at Dani Olmo yesterday. He put in a reference level performance as a No.10, one of those games where you can actually learn something by watching him — and barely anyone said a word. Then you wake up today and X is flooded with posts praising Bellingham. That’s what football has become for a lot of people. They don’t necessarily talk about the player who actually played the best football; they talk about whoever is more popular, more hyped or gets the most attention. It’s not about understanding the game anymore. It’s about repeating the names everyone else is talking about. Olmo can dominate a game technically and tactically, and people will ignore it because he isn’t as popular as Bellingham. Actually watch football instead of watching the hype.

Pakistan? I wouldn't move there. Afghanistan? Not a chance. Libya? No. Sudan? Absolutely not. Yemen? I wouldn't choose it. Somalia? Not for me. And I'm Muslim. So let's ask the uncomfortable question: what exactly is Sharia supposed to achieve when countries that claim to govern by Islamic law are places many Muslims themselves would never choose to live? If the system is so perfect, why are people trying to escape the societies built around it?

Some politicize sport. Others actually play it. Israel’s 27 players. Jewish and Arab Israelis. One jersey. One flag. 🇮🇱⚽ And when Israel faces Ireland twice in the Nations League, that’s the team Ireland will face. Some choose protest. Others choose to play together.

If you watch Declan Rice play football for a full 90 minutes & then come to the conclusion that he’s one of the best midfielders in the world / a Ballon D’or level player then this sport is not for you.
