If you’ve noticed I rarely post personal stuff on this account, and mostly just retweet news, I’m doing this consciously. Instead of leaving this toxic platform run by one of the worst people out there, I’ve chosen to stay strictly to help stem the tide of toxic rhetoric 1/

If there is even a small chance that President Trump is considering bombing Iran with a nuclear weapon then he needs to be removed from office now. Someone in his cabinet needs to step up and stop this madness.

A couple of things:
1) chef’s kiss that Stevens gave her first interview on the weekend to Bari Weiss’s Free Press because… of course!
2) hilarious that she accuses El-Sayed of being ‘obsessive’ with Israel and then cites as her reasons for un-endorsing him… Gaza and Iran.
Oh the projection, oh the projection…
Last night, at 11 PM, I received a call from a friend of Haley Stevens: would I want to come over to speak at her fiancé's home?
In pink fuzzy slippers, she seemed at ease: "I'm at peace with this," she told me. "I’m not wrestling with this."
She said she realized on Saturday night she could no longer back Abdul El-Sayed, who she said holds certain "anti-American" views and is "obsessive, obsessive, obsessive" about Israel.
“I wasn’t being honest with myself after a certain point,” she said.
The final breaking point was a recent ad that blamed rising costs on the American funding of “killing Palestinians.” A contributing factor was El-Sayed's inability to condemn Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.
"God, I wanted to vote for him, but he just kind of said ‘Forget it."
She said she is considering attending a Monday "Democrats for Mike Rogers" rally—but to not get it twisted: "I’m not going to be best friends with Mike Rogers either."

Remember when former 🇨🇦 Canadian Prime Minister Jean Chrétien said, “A proof is a proof” leading up to the Iraq war that Republican President George W. Bush started?
Bush sold the Iraq invasion on claims about weapons of mass destruction that were not substantiated.
Netanyahu and Trump are doing the same.
The United States and Israel possess nuclear weapons. Iran is not known to possess them. Iran’s uranium enrichment to 60% is a serious concern, but enriched uranium is not a working nuclear bomb or proof of a plan to launch a nuclear attack.
You cannot justify dropping a nuclear bomb on a hunch. Political survival is no justification for sacrificing innocent people.
Netanyahu has failed to secure enough support to form a government. His political future does not justify another war. He already faces an ICC arrest warrant for alleged war crimes and crimes against humanity. A UN commission of inquiry has concluded that Israel committed genocide in Gaza and that Netanyahu incited genocide. These findings demand accountability. Holding power must never shield him from justice.
Trump is responsible for his own decisions. Pressure from Netanyahu would excuse nothing. Neither man is above the law. Show us verified evidence before selling us another war
Both Trump and Netanyahu are war criminals.
Arrest them both now!
Under pressure from Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the Trump administration may be within days of launching a nuclear strike on Iran. The target would be Pickax Mountain in central Iran, where Israeli intelligence claims the Iranian government has restarted its nuclear enrichment program. No conventional weapon in the American arsenal can penetrate 300 feet of solid granite to destroy the tunnels where enrichment is supposedly taking place. The only military option is a nuclear strike. Netanyahu has been pushing hard for one. “Bibi calls Trump about it every day,” says an informed observer.
Netanyahu is cornered and desperate. After last week’s election results, he can’t form a government unless Trump intervenes directly in Israeli politics and brokers a deal with other parties that gives Netanyahu 61 seats in the Knesset. Otherwise, he is out as prime minister and on his way to ignominy, investigations and possibly jail. Netanyahu must stay close to Trump. He needs this war.
To that end, he’s applied maximum pressure to his closest allies in the administration, including Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth and CENTCOM commander Brad Cooper. Both oppose a negotiated settlement to the war they’ve so grievously mismanaged; both are pushing to restart major combat operations. Secretary of State Marco Rubio and CIA director John Ratcliffe are also following Netanyahu’s lead, as are leaders of the Democratic Party. In a recent meeting on the subject, former president Barack Obama said he opposes the current Iran peace deal being drafted in Doha.
The rest of America’s longtime allies in the Middle East are terrified by the prospect of more war. On September 27th, Netanyahu flew secretly to Abu Dhabi to enlist the UAE in his lobbying effort for a final attack on Iran. The Emiratis refused. After eight months of conflict, Gulf economies are teetering. So are global energy and fertilizer markets. They won’t recover soon. Globally, there are a total of about 850 supertankers used to transport oil from producers to the rest of the world. In October alone, 11 of them were badly damaged in Hormuz. At this pace, a global depression is imminent. A nuclear strike would radically accelerate the destruction. Fallout from a ground explosion at Pickax Mountain would contaminate the Persian Gulf, poisoning the water supply for 100 million people.
And those are just some of the immediate consequences for the region. The rest of the world is every bit as exposed. No country other than the United States has ever used a nuclear weapon in war. Some would like to. An American nuclear attack on Iran would set a new precedent. The Russians have already told at least two other governments that an American nuclear strike on Iran would free them to use nuclear weapons against Ukraine. Pakistan and India would be tempted to do the same against each other, as would North Korea against Seoul. After the first nuclear strike, World War Three is inevitable. That war would be short and final.
We’ve been sleepwalking toward this moment for months. Since February, the administration has quietly rewritten America’s nuclear doctrine to make first use of so-called “battlefield nukes” easier and therefore more likely. No one in Washington in either party seems bothered by this. Now we’re on the brink of it.
Close observers say Trump is likely to decide by next weekend whether or not to use nuclear weapons. That would be November 7, six days from now. To his credit, he’s hesitating. At the moment, Trump is listening to his vice president, JD Vance, and to his envoy and friend Steve Witkoff, both of whom argue a deal with Iran can be made.
They’re right, though it won’t be simple. The Iranians are famously frustrating to negotiate with under any circumstances, and elements of that government have become more radical since Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and his family were killed in February. After decades of isolation, even relatively moderate Iranian leaders seem confused by how decisions are made in the West. (There is a widespread belief in Tehran, for example, that the United States government controls Israel.) But overall, people who have spoken to decision-makers in Iran say there is consensus there that more war is bad for everyone and a deal is worth making.
One group that hasn’t been consulted so far is the global population — the hundreds of millions of people who will be killed along with their children if Trump is pushed by Netanyahu into launching a nuclear strike next week. Now would be the time for them to speak up.

How many times do we have to explain this?
What part of your brain switched off and convinced you COVID just packed its bags and disappeared?
When a magician shows you an empty top hat, do you genuinely believe the rabbit ceased to exist?
COVID didn’t disappear. We stopped looking for it, stopped talking about it, and somehow confused silence with safety.
Stop calling this a “post-COVID world.” We’re post-emergency declarations. Post-precautions. Post-giving-a-damn, apparently.
But we are NOT post-COVID.
The rabbit is still here.
And at this point, I’m starting to think it’s the only one with object permanence. 🐇🎩

There is a danger that the US normalises this. The occasional death from H5N1, the pre-existing conditions, the risk to the public is low.
This virus is circulating in unprecedented ways, with likely many more people infected than recorded. A ticking biological time bomb.

The “principle” here is the right to kill toddlers indefinitely. Im not being glib, all the mopey “Jewish safety” rhetoric from Stevens is sandwiched between demands of fidelity to Israel’s “security” which—as a matter of reality—entails open-ended slaughter of a caged population

Everyone scoffed but these are real threats and having basic emergency supplies to get through temporary disruption is sensible. Pretending that will save us from nuclear armageddon or biological war is not the point. It’s this stuff, which will only get worse.

The Rogers spokesperson you see starting this press conference is Abby Ronson. She is currently registered as a foreign agent for the state of Israel, according to @DropSiteNews reporting today

So the spokesperson for Mike Rogers’ campaign, Abby Ronson, is a federally registered foreign agent for Israel
And it looks like Ronson is helping to shape Haley Stevens’ turncoat messaging

Don’t tell me Trump isn’t fascist ever again!

Come Wednesday, if Abdul wins I don’t want to hear a word from ANYONE about his margin and any “underperformance.” Between Haley’s fuckery, the $70 million spent against him in the primary, and the insanely racist attacks on him, an Abdul victory will be one of the most impressive feats in political history.
