Of all the times I have been outside the USA for 5+ months and returned, this time was the least shocking.
Prices didn't go up much (except for canned drinks?!), some stayed the same, some dropped a bit.
Gas is still less than it was a few years ago, up ~$1 from 5 mo ago.
