The Sept 2026 SFM digital edition (read.epgmediallc.com/Zefd) is a great read. The @JohnKmitta editor note on "crowds" reiterates the challenges SFMs face w/ increased use demands on our fields (& reminds me of the old university/academic joke that "this would be a great place to work if there weren't any students"). Great to see @virginiasfma member and @vtspes @vtturfgrass alum @CWebb757 & team at @CNUcaptains recognized for @fieldexperts football field of the year, as well as alum @AvaVeith discussing her summer experience w/ World Cup field management in NJ. The value of 'teamwork' is clearly highlighted in both articles (especially the hands-on AD involvement at CNU - thanks for detailing that, Chris!). And the issue is capped off with a great Q/A by Dr. Grady Miller discussing sports field management strategies for something many of us are still experiencing: prolonged drought.
