I’ve heard a lot this week about not understanding why VT hates Maryland. Here’s a breakdown 👇🏼 Virginia Tech doesn’t hate Maryland. People like myself from SWVA resent the DMV. They turn their noses up… they don’t even consider the people in our area as “like” them. They are embarrassed by us. It’s true. Always has been. VT doesn’t hate Maryland or the DMV. They hate us. They think we’re dirty, uneducated, and redneck. There will always be this disdain for DMV, nothing can break it nothing can change it. This is unfamiliar to students/graduates who aren’t from our area. It is what it is. FUCK MARYLAND. GO HOKIES.

I’m jumping on this train. Especially in this era of college football. A lot of teams have more than 2 primary and 1 alt. All of the other major programs at VT have a black alternative. And could you imagine an “Exit Light Effect” game” at night at Lane Stadium??????? I mean, you’re welcome fellow Hokies! Help us out, @VT4L_Joe VT has to be willing to change and embrace this new era 100%. If it’s adding jerseys, no one is hurt. If it’s putting patches on the jersey, so what. I looked at the new Virginia Credit Union logo on the field twice during the VMI game, and then never noticed it again the rest of the game. The new LED lights were incredible as well. There are so many simple things to keep elevating the program into the future. I love the tradition. I love basic. My heart will always remember the simpler times. But it’s time to embrace change. It’s time to love change. Keep those memories near and dear. But it’s time to love something new. Franklin said the #Hokies will have the ODU-Norfolk State opener on a loop around the facility. Said they'll also have last year's ODU-VT game on a loop. "I think Old Dominion will have our attention."
