It has certainly been a fun journey covering racing games and motorsports over the years.

George, you have all of the qualities it takes to meet your dreams. But this year was not your year for many reasons outside of purely your driving skills. Many of us who enjoy and understand the sport of Formula One can see that. Arguably the two most exciting pieces of on-track action this year involved you. Battling with Kimi at Canada, where alas your car gave out as you were leading and holding off Max at Baku, taking the win after consistent pressure. Take heart, whenever the Red Bull demonstrated winning pace, you were the only driver able to hold Max off when he had arguably the faster package. Take courage in that, when the tough mindset is necessary, you have all of the elements it requires to win. Sometimes the car or other factors blur what other more fickle fans may perceive, but those fans that know and understand the politics of the sport will always support you, share every minute of the ups, downs and frustrations. In the end, this makes the champagne of victory, even sweeter. Now relax, refocus and enjoy the driving, faith in yourself and let the chips fall where they may.

Going through old magazines, Starburst used to be my bible for sci-fi info. Covering news on Star Trek TNG episodes that were literally years off from being shown on UK screens.

Following a year of build-up, it was exciting to finally see what Tesla had in store last night, and for me, it didn’t disappoint. I just wish we knew less before the event, because much of it we expected. Rather than the shock of instant surprise we would enjoyed, had the reveal been conducted without the Joe Rogan discussion. As an F1 fan, I’m reminded of the legendary Brabham B46 (1978) ‘fan car’. The concept of suction, negative pressure and downforce. But to see a car manufacturer make it real and viable is a huge step forward. The complexity of the thruster system is mind-blowing. To roll the car, rotate it and control the landing every time. Like a cat, this system will always work to right the balance of car on landing. We’ve seen rockets, capsules use these systems for decades, reaction control thrusters. But that was in low or zero G. To see it here, running on Earth in this way is next level. Looking back at the Lunar Landing Research Vehicle (LLRV-1) at Ellington Air Force Base, then forward to what we have now, the ideas have been there, but never the knowhow, technology or vision to see some of these ideas through. Watching the second demo jumping the various vehicles, I’m instantly reminded of the Turbo Boost in Knight Rider. I used to have a toy talking version of the car back in 1984, still have it, though alas the voice no longer works. But I can tell you that car did a lot of turbo boosts in its play life. As the new Roadster drove on-stage, I felt there was a missed opportunity in not having Christopher Lloyd exit the car “dammit, wrong year!” but either way it was nice for the often-reserved engineers the spotlight to show off their work and get bit of credit. Of course, all this tech isn’t really for us at all. It’s for the Moon and Mars Tesla’s. Off-world vehicles, that will require various attributes. The Cybertruck for off road and the Moon, combine thrusts and you have a multi-purpose vehicle, perfect for whatever conditions that may be thrown at it. But in the meantime, let’s have some fun for the journey. I look forward to future developments.

What's going on here @F1 @fia do the rules apply equally for all or not? Evidence here suggests rules are not being applied equally, that could leave some to believe there is favouritism.
According to the official 2026 FIA Penalty Guidelines, the 3rd track limits offence during a race results in a black-and-white flag, the 4th and every subsequent offence carry a 5-second penalty Kimi had 4 and even no investigation

There's an easy solution. If a car pits during a VSC, mechanics have to wait 10 seconds before they can touch the car. No double stacking allowed.
For fuck sake @F1. You have to adapt your petty rulebook to some common sense. If you call VSC as the leader passes the Pits you keep the stupid thing going till he's also had the opportunity to stop and not simply give the race to second place on the stupid track you approved!

It's disappointing seeing the obvious manipulation of F1 these days. Stefano Domenicali wanting to please more "young people", what better than the youngest ever F1 World Champion. Most of the fans will believe it, they'll believe Kimi is the best driver on the grid, because so many are sheep. It's a shame to see the sport dissolve to this point.

Outstanding reaction control.
This is the most impressive clip I’ve seen of FSD. The back and forth swerve is next level. Tesla just posted it on their evidence dashboard for EU approval.

Amazing work from all of the SpaceX recovery team, let's hope they can make the final journey in one piece.
Ship 40 and the recovery group are moving along at 2.3 Knots. Just 61 kms or 38 miles away from Christmas Island now. Bring her home SpaceX! 👏

Just watched @Schwarzenegger Commando for probably the hundredth time and it never gets old. Reminds me of the first time I saw it in the 80's, loved everything about it.

Wow, Starship continues to amaze and yet still so much more to come.
View of Starship in space from a Starlink V3 satellite on Flight 13. This composite is made of imagery from four separate cameras on a single satellite. Six of the satellites were equipped with cameras to scan Starship’s heat shield and transmit imagery down to operators to continue testing methods of analyzing Starship’s heat shield readiness for return to launch site on future missions

I've supported this cause, the donations go straight to the people that need it, and I hope more of you can support it too.
Rochdale survivor Billy Howarth, co-founder of Parents Against Grooming UK (PAGUK), has spent years supporting victims of child sexual exploitation and campaigning for safeguarding reform. Even before PAGUK was formally established, Billy and the late Linda Phillips were already working on the ground supporting vulnerable people in their community. Linda’s passing was a huge loss, but her legacy continues through Billy, his team, and the survivors they stand with. The fight for justice and protection continues. Through PAGUK, they’ve built practical survivor support including counselling, court advocacy, peer support, and a community hub funded largely by donations and volunteers. The PAGUK Survivor Hub in Rochdale urgently needs restoration to stay open. If you believe survivors deserve support and accountability, please help amplify this. The link to donate to the survivor hub renovations is below. share.google/wA1lxClbWXrp5HF…
