VCL is providing the funds for these pools as part of a new feature test that we hope will drive more feedback and new contributors registrations. Project owners are not being charged anything. The plan is, builders will be able to fund their own pools with paid credits to motivate activity. For now though, it's on us until we exhaust the kitty. Open comments will always be free. So we invite you to try a few things: 1. Boost your project. Use the changelog if you've made significant updates. We'll add $2 to your pool until we run out. 2. Triage your feedback if your project has a pool. The payout to contributors depends on you. 3. Claim some of the pool yourself by leaving actionable feedback on other projects and try payout through Stripe, assuming you're in a supported country.
