It was so good to see old friends at @SSRepro last week! Feeling inspired to get back and do good science 🧬 ✨ @SSR_Trainees #reprorocks #batheinmaternalblood
I couldn't have imagined a better way to start wrapping up my postdoctoral chapter. Thank you to the SSR meeting organizers, the Williams' lab, Lalor Foundation, and to the amazing SSR community for all your support! 5 great days packed with good science, friendship and drinks!
MATEbolism🧉JC hosted its first in-person invited speaker! What an honor to learn and discuss #science with Yu-Ying @taniokinn and Max over good food. Thanks for the enthusiasm and thought-provoking discussion! Who will be next? #metabolism #Development @EstermannMartin
After ~2 years of preparation, we’re all set for the @GordonConf on Fertilization! Excited for great talks, engaging discussions, and reconnecting with this amazing community. @ShwetaBhagwat3 @lucajovine & Rafael Fissore #GRC #Fertilization
Together with @EstermannMartin we curated a preList of #preprints presented at the @KeystoneSymp Metabolic and Nutritional Control of Development and Cell Fate!

1/6 🧵 I am beyond excited to share the latest work from @williamsrepro 🦋! This story began during the pandemic as we sought to understand how a brief insult during the peri-fertilization window can escalate into a metabolic outcome in adulthood—as seen in IVF-conceived children
5/6 The exciting part? This abnormal calcium-induced epigenetic reprogramming can be rescued by adding exogenous lactyl-CoA, which restores global H3K18la and global transcription at the 2-cell stage.
6/6 Want the full picture? Check out our preprint, or reach out to any of the amazing authors who made this story possible >>

The 2025 season of MATEbolism Journal Club is now on! Over the last year, with @EstermannMartin, we’ve explored how metabolism controls cell fate and epigenetics—while we metabolize cakes and snacks. Science fueled by sugar is back!! #Metabolism #Epigenetics
Feliz de compartir nuestra ciencia con la hermosa comunidad de Reproseminars!

This year’s medicine laureates Victor Ambros and Gary Ruvkun studied a relatively unassuming 1 mm long roundworm, C. elegans.
Despite its small size, C. elegans possesses many specialised cell types such as nerve and muscle cells also found in larger, more complex animals, making it a useful model for investigating how tissues develop and mature in multicellular organisms.
Read how the 2024 medicine laureates’ investigations into C. elegans revealed an entirely new dimension to gene regulation: bit.ly/4dlPE6f

TODAY, 1 million people are in the streets defending public education!👇
Thrilled to see a friend shining! 🎉 And Happy 1st anniversary to the Amargant i Riera lab! So excited for all the groundbreaking discoveries on mechanobiology, aging & PCOS coming your way
See who we have with us 🤩 The legendary @FarnersRiera visited NIEHS and shared how ovarian follicles respond to mechanical stimuli with us today! We also did a @FIRbees picture with @CarmenRepro @VirginiaSavy @DrBrainbridge @LRadonova @PaulaStein3 and Emily. So fun ❤️
