Cedar Park Flooding and Weather Safety
The Mayor of Cedar Park, Jim Penniman-Moring stated, “The devastation from this ongoing flooding has profoundly affected us all. Our hearts go out to every family, every neighbor, and every business affected by this disaster.”
While Cedar Park has experienced only minimal impacts so far, we are closely monitoring the situation in coordination with state, county, and neighboring city officials. Our emergency teams remain on standby and ready to assist where needed. Cedar Park Fire is currently assisting Liberty Hill responders with rescue operations through Auto Aid.
For Cedar Park residents:
Rain is expected to continue through the afternoon and evening, with just under an inch of additional rainfall between noon and 7 p.m. At this time, all low-water crossings in Cedar Park are closed except for Cedar Park Drive. We will continue to share updates as needed.
Please remember:
•Never attempt to cross flooded roads or trails — Turn Around, Don’t Drown.
•Report trail flooding or storm-related concerns through our Report It tool: cedarparktexas.gov/ReportIt.
•Sign up for emergency alerts via Warn Central Texas at warncentraltexas.org
We will continue to provide information that directly affects Cedar Park residents and visitors. Stay connected through the City’s official website at cedarparktexas.gov and social channels:
• Instagram: @cityofcedarpark
• X: @CedarParkTX
• Facebook: @Cedar Park Police Department
• X: @CedarParkPD

Stay safe. Follow all guidance from local and state officials. Help keep roads clear for emergency responders unless travel is absolutely necessary.

🚨 FLASH FLOOD WARNING 🚨
We’re seeing heavy rain and flooding in parts of our area. PLEASE use caution on the roads. If you see water covering the roadway:
🚫 Turn Around, Don’t Drown 🚫
It only takes a few inches of water to sweep a car away.
✅ Slow down
✅ Increase following distance
✅ Use headlights
✅ Never drive around barricades
Stay safe out there, Cedar Park! 🌧️💙
