Statement from Nancy Pelosi on Haley Stevens’ endorsement of Mike Rogers:
“Haley Stevens has chosen to dangerously betray Michigan families’ healthcare, freedoms and future with her horrific endorsement of Mike Rogers. Abdul El-Sayed must win — because Michigan and our country deserve better.”

Wow… what an absolute charlatan. Three days ago, Stevens said she was voting for El-Sayed. I hate politicians who switch sides at the last minute before elections. And everyone else always ends up hating them too. Just the ultimate political treachery.

Shocking news. He’s one of America’s finest and most principled politicians. I wish @ChrisMurphyCT a full and speedy recovery.
BREAKING: Democratic Sen. Chris Murphy, 53, has been hospitalized after suffering a stroke while attending his son's hockey game.
Murphy began experiencing numbness in his arm before being taken to a local hospital and later transferred to Johns Hopkins for further monitoring.
His chief of staff says the senator is awake, alert, and responding well to treatment, with doctors encouraged by his progress.
Officials are optimistic about his recovery. See what his team is saying about his condition:

In addition to being politically stupid, Democrats like Stevens and her ardent establishment supporters have been failing a profound moral test as well.
Ben Rhodes on Islamophobia and Haley Stevens:
I would like to see Democrats forcefully condemn this absolute garbage, because it's wrong, and because they're trying to other Abdul El-Sayed.
I see some Democrats kind of going along with this. Whether you agree with Abdul and his positions on Israel or not, the idea that the hate is coming from Abdul and not the people calling him a terrorist is ridiculous.
The idea that we have Democrats like Haley Stevens demanding he condemn some online ad that you can't even really find, and she's not condemning the hate that is coming at Abdul—It tells you a lot about Haley Stevens and what her priorities are, and it's not electing a Democratic United States Senate.

Three days later, Stevens says she is endorsing Republican Mike Rogers.
When you do vote, will you be voting for Abdul El-Sayed?
Haley Stevens: "Of course, I'm voting, you know, for our Democratic nominee for Senate. I'm voting for the democratic ticket, but I want to encourage, you know, this campaign to shut out the hate and to call it out and to make people who were in my coalition, right, make them feel comfortable about coming to the polls."

Trump is now going after his former lawyer, Alina Habba, over her $50 million deal:
“I thought it was totally obnoxious and outrageous, and it’s not acceptable. Not acceptable at all.”
According to The New York Times, the family of Venezuelan billionaire Julio Herrera Velutini guaranteed Habba more than $50 million over four years, including bonuses. Trump pardoned Herrera just two weeks after Habba began working for his family’s company.
The Times also reported that Trump wanted Habba to donate part of the money to his presidential library.

Pope Leo XIV may lead the Catholic Church, but even he has a favorite college basketball team.
The first American pope welcomed men's and women's basketball teams from Villanova, his alma mater, and Notre Dame to the Vatican on Saturday ahead of their season-opening matchups in Rome.
"The Pope doesn't take sides. Prevost has another opinion," Leo joked, referring to himself by his birth name, Robert Prevost. A 1977 Villanova graduate and Chicago native, Leo acknowledged his hometown's support for Notre Dame but couldn't resist showing a little school pride.

“Growing up on the south side of Chicago, we oftentimes heard, “Go Irish!”
But, as you all know, Prevost graduated from Villanova.
So the Pope doesn't take sides.

Pope Leo XIV to the student athletes of Villanova University and the University of Notre Dame:
“No one is born a champion, just as no one is born a saint. Rather, holiness requires a daily training in love. In this regard, Christians are called to run in the race of life, but the objective of winning an imperishable crown of glory.
I pray that the activities, which comprise your pilgrimage, especially your business, the tombs of the apostles, who gave their lives in defence of the faith, will serve as a reminder that our true goal, beyond emerging victorious in any one event, is to win the prize of everlasting life.”
