Voices and Evidence

Im probably gonna piss off ALOT OF ppl w this but I have A MESSAGE TO CONTENT CREATORS… Are y’all actually happy? Because, honestly, so many of you seem absolutely miserable. And I don’t mean that as an insult. I mean it as a genuine question. Y’all have built these HUGE audiences. You have people listening to you, watching you, following your every move, hanging on your every word. And I can’t help but wonder… do you ever stop and think about what you could ACTUALLY do with that kind of influence? Because there is SO MUCH more you could be doing w the opportunity y’all have. Think about the changes you could help bring about in the true crime community. Think about the victims and families who deserve justice. Think about the cases that need attention, the court systems that need scrutiny, the laws that need changing, the media that needs holding accountable, and the countless things happening in this country that people don’t even realize are broken. You have an audience. You have a platform. You have a voice that reaches thousands, sometimes millions of people. WHAT ARE WE DOING WITH IT?! Instead, so much of what I see is creators fighting with other creators, keeping score, competing for attention, arguing over who said what, who got blocked, who stole whose content, who has the bigger following, and who gets to sit at the top of the food chain. And for WHAT? Imagine if even a fraction of that energy went toward something that actually mattered. Imagine creators putting their differences aside long enough to bring attention to real injustices. Imagine using those platforms to educate people about how the justice system actually works, how court proceedings work, how the media shapes public perception, and how ordinary people can make a difference. Y’all’s voices could have laws changed. The possibilities are endless. & I get disagreements & drama happen . That’s inevitable. But it shouldn’t be your entire content. At some point, shouldn’t there be a bigger purpose? I’m genuinely asking: WHAT HAPPENED TO WANTING TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE? Do y’all even know y’all’s purpose anymore? Did y’all ever even have one in the first place other than being heard or getting paid? I’m serious? Do y’all know the reason why y’all started in the first place before you had an audience? Bc those of us who have watched from the beginning certainly remember. We also have watched firsthand what many of you have become as your audiences grew. And I don’t want to watch people with enormous platforms spend their days tearing each other apart while real people, real victims, real families, and real injustices get pushed to the sidelines. You all have an opportunity that most people will never have. USE IT. And maybe, just maybe, if more of you focused on building something meaningful instead of constantly fighting to protect your little corner of the internet, you’d actually find some fulfillment in what you’re doing. There’s a whole world outside of creator drama. And there are people who need those voices for something much bigger than entertainment. Just my thoughts as a viewer & subscriber to ALOT OF CHANNELS 🤷‍♀️
