Claude Code can now show your Home Assistant beside the chat. Ask it to set the lights and the dashboard pane lights them up as your home reports it.
Automations, ESPHome, health, dashboards. One install:
/plugin install vome-panes --marketplace Vortitron/home-assistant-mcp
New: an end-to-end encrypted address for your Home Assistant. The connection stays sealed from your phone into your home; Vome passes it on but can't read it. Your HA makes its own key and keeps it. How it works: vome.io/remote-access/end-to…
Can your Home Assistant run Doom? Ours does, and the level is the house.
Shoot the lamp: the light goes off.
The spider is a real fruit-fly brain.
The front door asks Y/N before it unlocks.

Although if you did want to run it in a datacentre rather than have a homelab, try Vome.io
Still no lock-in, data is still private and yours.
(and you can still connect Home Assistant Link to it to pay your dues!)

I tried to make it dynamic so perhaps it is a little too random, messy and strange, but it is what it is and it'll cost you tokens to run too

With the Pi getting evermore expensive, a virtual Home Assistant starts to make sense.
The local device for radios and VPN can make do with half a gig.
The plan is also to try & fit in a backup controller so you can do basic things when the internet dies (if you don't have CHAP)
Due to the continuing rise in the cost of memory, we’ve had to raise the prices of our 2GB Raspberry Pi 4 and Raspberry Pi 5 products. Eben explains the cost increase – along with ways to ensure you’re not paying for more memory and processing power than you need – in today’s blog post.

With a demo running on VomeHome, we used the map of the fly brain to see what it could do for @home_assistant
... not much really!

Building vome.io for the stage 2s...
Green is good!
If you want to have another way to connect externally and connect your MCP, try Relay @ Vome.io
If you want to try HA before getting one, you can host remotely, also @ Vome.io (You might need a little local box for VPN & Radios)
