Orange County District Attorney Todd Spitzer Issues Statement on Governor Newsom’s Commutation of All Death Sentences in California Click here for full release: bit.ly/4AiweLB SANTA ANA, Calif. – Orange County District Attorney Todd Spitzer issued the following statement regarding California Governor Gavin Newsom’s commutation of all death sentences in California: Governor Gavin Newsom’s commutation of the death sentences of all 548 condemned inmates in California is mercy for the wolves and while inflicting the ultimate act of cruelty on the sheep. You cannot have crime without punishment, and in those instances in which the crimes committed are so heinous that death is the only appropriate punishment, I, as the elected District Attorney of Orange County, have, and will, continue to pursue the death penalty. The death penalty has been repeatedly upheld by California voters and we as prosecutors represent the People of California and the greater good. Clearly, Governor Newsom does not. The pursuit of justice does not bend to political whims, and I am heartbroken for the hundreds of families who must now grapple with the devastation of knowing that the monsters who harmed their loved ones are one step closer to being back out on our streets. The decision to impose death is not one made by an elected District Attorney an elected judge or an elected governor. It is the only sentence that is handed down by a jury of 12 who have listened to all of the evidence and decided that imposition of death is what is just. Governor Newsom’s decision to unilaterally eradicate the decisions of hundreds of juries comes as no surprise, as this is just another step in a calculated march to empty out California’s prisons and send a message that no one should be held responsible for their crimes. As of October 1, the state Board of Parole implemented regulations which allows thousands of inmates sentenced to Life Without the Possibility of Parole to be eligible for parole – ripping away a sense of security and finality for crime victims who were promised their monsters would die behind bars. Now those criminals sentenced to death are one step closer to also being eligible for release from prison – and release from accountability. Today, the voices of criminals are louder than the cries of victims, and the governor should be ashamed of himself for twisting the knife into the hearts of victims who have already suffered the most unimaginable pain. @CAgovernor @GovPressOffice @GavinNewsom

BREAKING: A mystery seller is trying to dump about $500 million in data center loans all at once, per Bloomberg, days after the midterms raised doubts about many projects. The anonymous seller is auctioning a dozen loans, including a $25 million piece of financing for a huge Stargate site in New Mexico, the joint project of OpenAI, SoftBank and Oracle. Oracle has already sent that site’s developer a force majeure notice, a legal claim that events beyond its control may excuse it from its obligations.

🚨 Gavin Newsom’s parting gift: commuting EVERY SINGLE death sentence in California. Victims’ families get to live with what those killers did FOREVER. Gavin gets to sign a letter and walk away. What a cold-blooded, slick-haired FUCK YOU to the families left behind.

A Well-Thought-Out Financial Plan Is Driving the Data Center Tsunami Data Centers: Sucking Up Your Retirement Savings with Taylor Hudak By Catherine Austin Fitts Our theme for the 3rd Quarter 2026 Wrap Up is a topic in the headlines and on many people’s mind: data centers. Earlier this year, I asked writer Taylor Hudak to investigate the various mechanisms serving to finance the explosion of data centers all over the United States, and in response, she has produced two revealing reports. The first report, Are Taxpayers Helping to Finance America’s Data Center Boom? A Quest for Clarity (published in June), looked at the federal, state, and local government incentives that have facilitated the rapid build-out of over 4,000 AI data centers (and counting). This week, Taylor joins me to discuss her second blockbuster report, Overbuilt Infrastructure, Underexamined Risk: Financing the Data Center Boom, which “follows the money trail” in four critical areas: Federal subsidies Large asset managers and private equity Retirement contributions Off-balance-sheet debt Taylor’s report is so important that we are making it available to everyone, subscribers and non-subscribers alike. Please share it with others who may find it valuable. Full Report: solari.com/data-centers-suck… Subscribe: shop.solari.com/ Join us on Telegram: t.me/solarireport

💸 According to @XavierBecerra the “hard work” includes a new mileage tax, adding to the transpiration affordability crisis. May those who blindly voted for him learn their errors the hard way as they find out EVERY road is now a toll road!
Now the real work begins.  Thank you and Gracias, California.
