PROJECT LEAD!! Last week, fifth graders from Rio Lindo Elementary visited the Juvenile Justice Court (JJC) with their teacher, Mrs. Jones.
They met Judge Gilbert Romero, explored a holding cell, interacted with probation officers, and checked out the Oxnard Police SWAT team’s Armor Recovery Vehicle (ARV)! 🚓⚖️💪
Thanks to the Project LEAD team—Deputy DAs Rosa Romero, Paulina Nunez, Cesar Romero, Investigator Yumi Kirk, and Paralegal Mary Grace Courselle—for inspiring the next generation! 👏 #YouthEngagement #ProjectLEAD #FutureLeaders #JusticeInAction

❗️ONE Pill Can Kill❗️
Today, we observe National Fentanyl Prevention and Awareness Day.
It is a moment to remember those lives tragically lost to illicit fentanyl poisoning. The devastation wrought by this potent drug continues to impact families and communities across the United States.
Let us take this opportunity to raise awareness about the dangers of fentanyl, educate ourselves and others on prevention measures, and support those who have been affected. Together, we can work towards a future where such tragedies are lessened, and lives are saved.
