Welcome to Virtual World History! This account is dedicated to the history of virtual world games, such as Toontown Online, Club Penguin, Moshi Monsters, Poptropica and more!
Unfortunately this account's hiatus will continue into october as life has just been generally crazy for me. Things should calm down by november, so expect me to be back then!

13 years ago today, Disney’s ‘TOONTOWN ONLINE’ officially shut down its servers. 🏰💔
Launched in 2003, the beloved MMORPG let players create their own Toons, explore the colorful world of Toontown, battle the business-minded Cogs, play minigames and team up with friends alongside classic Disney characters.
After more than a decade of adventures, Disney closed the game in 2013, leaving behind countless memories for its community.
Who remembers playing ‘Toontown Online’?
