Thank you to Matt Barton from St. Louis Audubon for sharing the BirdSafeSTL kits with our community. 💙 Each packet contains information on how to help birds and be bird safe, a collision deterrence kit, a magnet, and a sticker!
Something as easy as adding collision deterrence markers on windows has resulted in a 95% reduction in collisions. Adding these markers onto glass helps birds realize a surface is present since glass can be see-through or reflect the environment.

The Foster Forest is one of the busiest places behind the scenes at the World Bird Sanctuary! 🌳🦉
In specialized, naturalistic aviaries — non-releasable foster parents help raise orphaned and injured raptors as they recover and prepare for release back into the wild.
