A new article that I just put together taking a brief look at one of the most random pro wrestling tours to happen in Europe in the 1990s - a French promotion touring the Republic of Macedonia in 1996. There's some footage too.

Imagine paying for a ticket and seeing a fake Bret Hart fight a fake Doink. September 1994 was wild. No budget, no rules, just pure wrestling chaos with a clown involved.
The man pretending to be Bret was Franz Schumann, and he took it seriously. That is the best part. Both men fully committed to the bit, and the clip is better because of it. Would you have watched this live? 👀

Andre and Studd in St. Louis. This is what Studd was amazing at, leaning into dissonance, boasting, bragging, stalling, stooging. The patient build makes this work as the payoff is two giants clashing. Watch how Studd shrinks into himself, a cowardly lion.

Gorilla Monsoon shows off amazing agility in 1969 as he takes on Giant Baba! Check out Gorilla do a roll through to escape a wrist lock, jump & touch his toes, take a fun bump over the top, & the insane height on the Manchurian Landslide Splash!
