This afternoon, Minister @onduhungirehe, together with Minister @nsanzimanasabin (@RwandaHealth) and Minister @AKajangwe (@RwandaTrade), convened a diplomatic briefing on @RwandaGov’s efforts to tackle illicit alcoholic beverages and measures to build a more resilient society.
The briefing provided an opportunity to engage diplomatic partners, share Rwanda’s approach, and highlight ongoing efforts to address the challenges posed by illicit alcoholic beverages.
The Government of Rwanda remains committed to safeguarding public health, strengthening societal resilience, and working with partners to advance solutions that protect communities.

At #RSOG2026, WHO Rwanda representative Dr Brian Chirombo reaffirmed the organisation’s commitment to supporting Rwanda’s push for Universal Health Coverage (UHC).

In 2026 in #Sudan, 2⃣2⃣ attacks on health care were reported, causing 1⃣9⃣5⃣ deaths and 3⃣2⃣6⃣ injuries of health care workers and patients.
These constituted:
🚨2.6% of all reported attacks in 2026, yet
🚨21.5% of all reported deaths
🚨22% of all reported injuries
Attacks on health care are a violation of International Humanitarian Law.
Humanitarians must always be protected from attacks.
