In 2013, Facebook photos from Heritage House in Jerusalem (housing IDF lone soldiers) showed young men with pancakes under the caption “Afternoon of ‘rachel corrie’ Pancakes and fun!” Director Ben Packer defended the post, saying criticism made it “even funnier.” The pun referenced Corrie being “flat as a pancake” after her 2003 death under an IDF bulldozer.
