Improving breast cancer screening, breast density education, and timely follow-up is essential to helping women make informed decisions about their health.
HHS, through the Office on Women’s Health (OWH), is coordinating efforts with the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) and DenseBreast-info.org to strengthen screening practices, expand access to reliable breast density information, and address delays in diagnostic follow-up.
Together, these efforts aim to support earlier detection and improve care for women nationwide, particularly midlife women.

Women physicians are changing women’s health, one patient, discovery and policy at a time.
From the exam room to research labs to the halls of government, they’re speaking up, challenging gaps in care and advocating for better health outcomes.
And often, it starts with what they see and hear from their patients.
Meet the women physicians turning those experiences into action and helping shape a healthier future for women and their communities. spr.ly/6011BGb7Zh
