I strongly denounce the mockery of Josh Aquino, a person with disability, in a recent podcast episode.
I urge the National Council on Disability Affairs to coordinate with the appropriate government agencies to probe this incident, determine whether any provisions of the Magna Carta for Persons with Disability (RA 7277, as amended by RA 9442) were violated, and pursue appropriate action to hold to account parties responsible for the incident.

ECONOMIST, FORMER FINANCE USEC ANNOUNCES SENATE BID
Former Department of Finance Undersecretary and economy professor Cielo Magno announced that she will run for a senatorial position in the 2028 elections.
Magno, speaking at a forum in Italy, said that she will focus on healthcare as part of her platforms, as well as reforms in the country’s industrial policy.
In 2023, the Malacañang terminated Magno from her position in the Department of Finance for being “unsupportive” of the administration’s programs.
