Remember when he purchased @LubrizolCorp and destroyed it? Brought in foreign workers and reduced safety standards. Chemical spills all over the world. We remember.

wouldn't be surprised if he's back at it in some form or another before long
Frame check on Buffett leaving the chair.
WSJ: Breaking, $1 trillion conglomerate, six decades.
Fox: BREAKING, son Howard takes over, chairman emeritus.
NYT: investing powerhouse he built, son replaces him.
Same fact. Different jersey on the handoff.
The chair change is the easy part. Abel already runs the company. Howard’s job is not capital allocation. It’s to keep Berkshire from becoming a deal factory once the founder is no longer in the room.
Warren took control at 34. Howard has sat on the board for 33 years. That is the insurance policy: a chairman with nothing left to prove, paid to say no.
The real test is the first $20 billion acquisition Abel wants that Warren would have passed. Who blinks?
Hats off to the best Ever.
Warren Buffet is the best Investor ever with a great sense of humor. ⚡️

As the era ends, the filing shows Berkshire's insurance float still funds the entire investment operation. That structure doesn't retire with Buffett.
