Every February, the CTE community celebrates Career and Technical Education and the role that it plays in preparing students for success in college and careers.
Child development students learned about and practiced their bilateral coordination, hand eye coordination, and pincer grasp today by making friendship bracelets! 🫶
Senior foods participated in a cooking competition called Cooks In Camo using MREs (meals ready to eat). They had to prepare an appetizer, an entree, and a dessert in 40 minutes. They were judged by some special guests!

International & Regional Foods students made arancini, an Italian antipasto or appetizer made from breaded balls of risotto and then fried, to kick off their Italian cuisine unit!
Last Friday kicked off our annual cheesecake fundraiser! Sell those cakes, Warriors!! 🍰

International & Regional Foods students visited College of DuPage and helped out in their student-run restaurant, Waterleaf, this week. The menu had a focused on Northeastern cuisine and our students helped prepare and serve lunch for 45 reservations!
Our Lil Warrior Preschoolers were the cutest pumpkins in the patch on Tuesday when they visited Johansen Farms 🎃🍂🍁
We had some special guests in Culinary Arts today to chat about smoking different types of meats! They even made their own bbq sauces 🤤 Thanks for coming in today Mr. Dobberton, Mr. Jacobs, and Mr. VanKampen!

We won 2nd place for our main dish and 3rd place for our side dish from our session (there were 3 sessions total!) and out of 83 schools from all over the country, we received 2nd place overall!! Go Waubonsie Warriors!
