And yesterday Brazilian Critical Minerals $BCM.ax announced that they bought up a Magnesium sulphate plant, the key input material for their extraction process. They're steaming towards production. Owning the full extraction chain further reduces their AISC. They are already lowest in costs globally but this news is the icing on the cake. Strong buy.
Another important thing to know is that Brazilian Critical Minerals $BCM.ax sits the lowest on the global cost curve. It can outcompete every other Western rare producer and is on par with China because it uses the exact same technology the Chinese used to dominate the West. Nobody else in the West has the right conditions but they have them. Read this to see how supportive the government is of the project. And they have district scale potential. According to my calculations they could feed a major part of the Western supply chains with rare rearths in its full buildout in a few years.

MANAUS – Governor and candidate for reelection Roberto Cidade (Progressive Union) reaffirmed this Sunday (27) his commitment to making the exploration of rare earths in Amazonas viable.
The statement was made at a meeting with supporters in Apuí, a municipality in Calha do Madeira, in the south of the state, a week before the first round, scheduled for October 4.
“Amazonas has enormous potential that goes far beyond our capital, and the rare earth project in Apuí is proof of this”, said the governor.
According to him, the initiative could put the state “on the global map of future technologies”, with jobs, income and new opportunities for those living in the interior.
In practice, the governor means that Amazonas would become part of a strategic chain of minerals used in cell phones, batteries, electric vehicles, and renewable energy.
China now dominates the production and refining of these minerals, and several countries are seeking alternative suppliers.
The Apuí project is considered one of the main rare earth ionic clay projects outside China.
The governor, however, did not detail how this would happen, and the project still depends on environmental licensing.
For now, it's an expectation, not a result. The Ema Project is led by BBX do Brasil, a subsidiary of the Australian Brazilian Critical Minerals (BCM), with an estimated investment of between R$200 million and R$285 million.
The deposit is located about 25 kilometers from the center of Apuí, near BR-230 (Transamazônica).
Extraction and export are expected to begin in 2027, depending on environmental licenses and mining concessions.
The projection is around 500 jobs in implementation and annual revenue of R$400 million.
The National Mining Agency (ANM) has already approved the final exploration reports, and the company is progressing through public hearings and environmental and land licensing procedures with Incra.
Roberto Cidade has been talking about the project since June, when he celebrated the ANM's approval on social media.
In July, he received representatives from BBX Mineração and, in pre-campaign events in Manaus, began citing the rare earths of Apuí alongside potassium in Autazes and oil and gas production in Coari, as examples of projects that, according to him, will generate jobs in the interior.

Governor Roberto Cidade celebrated the approval, by the National Mining Agency (ANM), of the studies that authorize the advancement of the project for the exploration of rare earths in Apuí, in the south of Amazonas. Annual revenue can reach R$400 million.
The initiative could represent a new cycle of development for the region, with job creation, economic growth, and increased public revenue.

The project now goes to environmental agencies for evaluation to obtain a license. Operations are expected to begin next year, generating hundreds of jobs in the municipality.
The annual revenue forecast is approximately R$400 million and R$8 million in municipal revenue.
