My favorite still image from moonrise behind the Nubble. The contrast of the dark, silhouetted lighthouse and the bright moon is like eye candy for me.

My pic that I posted for work today. The summit typically sees 19 inches of snowfall in Oct. So far, we have received 3.7 inches, and unless a dramatic pattern shift occurs, that deficit is expected to continue for the coming days.
The weekend began with 2.3 inches of fresh snowfall, but ample sunshine, low humidity, and above-freezing temperatures over the past few days have nearly returned the ground to bare rocks.

I told you the timelapse would be sick...
Alpenglow sunrise against a snow-capped Mt. Washington, followed by an invasion of clouds lapping at the summit then passing up and over like waves. Incredible morning. #snowliage

The pic that I posted for work today is looking down at Lakes of the Clouds. The mountains have lost a bit of snow, while the lakes have gained a bit more ice. Winter giveth, and winter taketh away.

First inch of snow. It's about a month behind our normal date for the first inch of snow (typically our first inch occurs around mid-Sept) and unfortunately, the upcoming weather will be melting it. But, it's at least a start.
