The expanding shadow war that @cepa has spotlighted is a concerted campaign- a threat that spans geographies and domains. Any response from free societies therefore requires greater cross-domain cohesion, must be systematic, consistent
“These attacks are often viewed as temporary or opportunistic hybrid actions, but they’re not.” @Walker_CT argues sabotage, drone incursions, cyberattacks, and targeted violence act as a concerted campaign designed to degrade an opponent without provoking a military response. Together, they are global shadow war. cepa.org/programs/global-sha…

‼️ @Shelby_Wilder from Kyiv on @NEWSMAX as the channel covers the evacuation from Oleshky: "Newsmax crew is in Oleshky to be independent observers. But we have to make no mistake to give context to the situation. Russia is using this humanitarian operation as a propaganda opportunity. Moscow wants to portray itself as the rescuer of civilians in a city that it occupies. One it has destroyed and plunged into this humanitarian crisis. And we need to be clear: Russia controls what we are going to be allowed to see. Moscow appears to have brought in numerous Russian media compared to just the one American news outlet. Because of that, our team is not is not going to have an unrestricted picture of life under Russian occupation. The people that we could speak to very well could be under duress, and Russian authorities are showing us what they want the world to see. That is essential when we're going to be evaluating the first images and reports that are coming out of Oleshky. But nonetheless, the fact that civilians are being evacuated and offer this humanitarian aid this is historic. This has been brokered by the White House, and this is a significant point in the war. We're seeing a localized ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine continue to hold to enable this operation to take place. We are again tracking the developments coming out of Oleshky today. All eyes are on this ceasefire, and we will certainly keep you posted."

A massacre in the Dnipro passenger railway station today. A guided Russian drone targeted a crowded platform, killing at least 13 people and injuring many others, as per city officials. But diesel. But Russia wants peace. But don’t you dare hit their refineries.

A real privilege to take part in this session on transatlantic ties featuring fmr Lithuanian President @Grybauskaite_LT German Bundestag member @RKiesewetter European Parliament member @AlexandrVondra-Also grateful for cooperation with @JakubKlepal and his @Forum_2000 colleagues
Russia’s shadow war is not one country’s problem, and it will not be solved by one country’s response. Attacks on infrastructure, information, and democratic institutions now stretch from the Baltic to the Black Sea. On the main stage at the Forum 2000 conference in Prague, CEPA Vice President @Walker_CT, former Lithuanian President @Grybauskaite_LT, and @RKiesewetter of the German Bundestag examined why the transatlantic partnership remains essential to confronting it. The session, co-organized by CEPA and Forum 2000 and moderated by MEP @AlexandrVondra, looked at the price both sides would pay for drifting apart. cepa.org/programs/global-sha…

As authoritarian governments like those in Russia and China pour billions into manipulating media and shaping the way audiences understand the world around them, @RFERL plays a crucial role in helping the US compete in a fiercely contested information environment.

Regime in Russia, like those in Iran and China and other dictatorships, takes journalists, businessmen, civil society figures and others as hostages to stock what @AndreiSoldatov & @irinaborogan call a “hostage bank” for regime leverage purposes. A blight on the global landscape
