i went to a speed dating/friending event at an axe throwing place where i didn’t leave with a cute girl’s number, but i did leave with some primo lesbian bait for twitter 😘
how am i still hearing people say the premise of One Night Only wasn’t clear from the trailer? there’s literally a VO of Callum Turner saying “try finding love on the one night a year people are actually allowed to have sex” in the trailer
well damn, i really was talking out of my ass yesterday, huh? glad he got to keep doing what he loved up until his dying days 💖
Patrick Stewart says he will never officially retire from acting.
“I’ll always and forever be an actor.”

that was so much fun! club scene goes hard as hell, especially *that* kill. almost gave it an extra half star for that alone!
and what if, Mr Altman, we said we believe you having money is wasteful, and that it belongs in our bank accounts instead?
from a wealth allocation perspective, it’s quite terrible for you to have a bunch of the world’s limited supply of legal tender sitting in your bank account

Be so comfortably straight that you're ok being a little gay with your best friend.
Sir Patrick Stewart, the zenith of positive masculinity.

Mass Effect was born out of not having to rely on the Star Wars license and 20 years later the Star Wars license killed Mass Effect

Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart sharing the stage in Samuel Beckett’s Waiting for Godot (2013). Two extraordinary actors bringing one of theatre’s most celebrated plays to life.
done with work, and been thinking about this tweet… yeah, i jumped the gun and assumed the worst. that’s my bad! definitely used stronger language than necessary, and i can understand how some people have read into it the way they have. sorry about that!

SIR PATRICK STEWART (1940-2026)
Before everything else, Patrick was defined by being born and bred in Yorkshire, the proud county in the north of England which he loved to the end. You could hear it in his accented voice and in the stern honesty with which he told you what he thought and felt. Yorkshiremen have no truck with half-truths or avoidance of big issues. He wore his heart on his sleeve, which made him a man to rely on, to admire and in my case, love.
We first met as ambitious young actors with the Royal Shakespeare Company half a century ago but we weren’t in the same productions. My first strong memory was a few years later, meeting him in the street in central London when he told me about an offer to take over a leading part in 'Star Trek'. “But Patrick think of your stage career in the UK. Do you really want to risk—getting lost in Hollywood for years and years?”. Well, he took the risk and thank goodness for us all that he did for not just his devoted Trekkies but film and theatre audiences, who marvelled at his using international celebrity to star in a string of cinema successes ('X-Men' of course) and in great classical plays by Shakespeare, Ibsen, Arthur Miller, Peter Shaffer, Pinter and Beckett at Stratford-upon-Avon, in London’s West End and on Broadway.
America was his adopted home, where he met his adored Sunny who has cared for him through sickness and health, through thick and thin. But he never forsook his origins: and the proudest achievement of the most respected and beloved actor of his generation on either side of the Atlantic, was his appointment as Chancellor of Huddersfield University in Yorkshire.
His farewell performance in 'Avengers: Doomsday' is yet to be seen.
