Good grief. Green Party co-leader Marama Davidson has just been asked a simple question: What is the interest rate on govt debt? Davidson: โ€œabout 1 to 2 percent.โ€ The 10-year NZ govt bond yield is currently around 4.9 percent. Davidson is completely clueless about govt debt, no wonder the Greensโ€™ promises add up to a whopping $272 billion over four years.
