Male university students have walked out of their exam in protest against Taliban’s decision to BAN female students from university education. Several male professors have also resigned so far. This must happen across the country NOW!

Everyone is trying their best but the lack of any IT services is dysfunctional. Might be the most concerned I've been about patient safety. Possibilities of missed results, missed follow ups etc. Worse when considering understaffed on call services.

Do you know what happens when you dial 112 / 999 and ask for the Ambulance Service? 🚑 Today is no different - our IT systems are unaffected. If you need us, we'll be there. @NasDirector @DonnellyStephen @paulreiddublin

This isn't really about losing 300 interns for a year, it's about losing these 300 doctors for the rest of their careers. Intern year is an investment in the future. If these doctors go elsewhere after graduation, they are very unlikely to ever come back to Ireland to practice.

If someone is speaking to you in a foreign accent they are smart enough to know at least 2 languages - and were brave enough to do their job in their second. It’s so easy to condescend, assume and patronise when all they deserve is your respect and your humility

Heartbreaking. May the students and professors who were killed finally rest in peace.
