Did you say…. WatchMojo stadium?
Twenty-two years ago today, @MLB made the tough, gut-wrenching decision that ultimately ended the @Montreal_Expos’ time in Montreal.
I couldn’t help them stay. I decided to become an entrepreneur. Yada yada yada… here we are.
When we started the Peanut Project, my promise was simple: work on the file.
Yes, I’ve been transparent—but not about everything.
We now have, more or less, all the pieces in place. If MLB called today and opened expansion, we’re ready.
And frankly, even if expansion doesn’t happen, should an existing franchise ever become available, we can mobilize to pursue the return of the Expos.
But my focus was never merely on bringing them back.
It was about building the kind of foundation, home and community that ensures they never leave again.
Today, I drove by another potential site. Thanks to an assist from a few allies and supporters, I’m increasingly convinced we’re getting close to where we need to be.
I’ll reach out to the City and do the work.
But you get the idea.
More to come.
Thanks to @BillShaikin & the @LATimes for calling attention and amplifying our #PeanutProject mission to bring @MLB back to Montreal.
Shoutout to @Ashkan for his strategy, results, and vision, and I'm proud to be involved. @Montreal_Expos @Montreal @MTL_Ville ⚜️🇨🇦⚾️

WatchMojo mentioned in @espn's article on possible @MLB expansion as @ashkan heads up efforts to bring back @Montreal_Expos to @Montreal
Happy to see @espn's @JeffPassan include the #PeanutProject in his rundown of possible cities that @MLB will expand to.
Note that when it came to anchor investors, the threshold was: Have any anchor investors publicly attached themselves to a bid? In finance, money committed one day can be gone the next, but putting your name behind something indicates a higher level of commitment... and given my nature to under-promise and over-deliver, I certainly downplayed things with Jeff as making bombastic claims with journalists is usually a red flag.
All to say, step in the right direction... the march continues. Article linked in the replies.
