If your video contains women doing men things (cars, guns, trucks, offroading, construction, etc.) I am NOT watching it.
If you have discernment you already could tell by the second sentence, but just in case you don't:
Sam Altman is actually right about this, and most people are missing the bigger picture.
Think about how much RAM sits unused in hundreds of millions of personal computers every single day. People buy machines with 16GB, 32GB, or 64GB of RAM, yet most of that capacity is barely utilized for much of the day.
Meanwhile, AI research, scientific computing, and cloud infrastructure are competing for the same limited global supply of memory.
From an economic perspective, this is an incredibly inefficient allocation of resources.
In a data center, memory can be pooled, shared, and continuously utilized by thousands of workloads. Instead of expensive hardware sitting idle for most of its lifespan, that same capacity can support services used by millions of people.
Higher utilization means more computing output from the same physical resources, potentially lower costs per workload, and less pressure to manufacture additional hardware.
This doesn't mean everyone should give up owning a computer. Local computing still matters for privacy, independence, latency, and offline access.
But the fundamental principle is correct: maximizing individual ownership of scarce hardware isn't necessarily the same thing as maximizing its usefulness to society.
The future of computing isn't just about who owns the most powerful hardware. It's about how efficiently we use the hardware humanity already has.

There is an important reason that the right never wins the culture war overall, despite the left being so poor at tactics that they often end up shooting their own feet.
That is the reality that logistics are more important than tactics, and tactics only matter once you have sorted logistics out.
The left has sorted logistics out by creating patronage networks, while the right refuses to do so because it's still controlled by a curious kind of boomer paleoliberal who thinks that "free market" means "everything should pay for itself".
Thus, both the cultural and political struggles of the right must be waged by broke young men as a side project to their careers, while fighting for the left is a career.
The young men fighting for the right are simply expected to purchase their own rifles, ammunition, uniforms and kit, provide their own transport to the front, then organize themselves into units to defeat the communists.
If you understand this, then you will understand why the retards manage to win a lot despite being retards.
The left is giving people 100K fellowships for writing lesbian novels, while the right is charging its own guys $200 to listen to some theoretical ramblings about the antichrist.
No, that's not a metaphor. I wish I had made either of those two facts up as some sort of hyperbole.
Only the left understands how to get and use political power.
The left understands that power is a form of currency. So if you want it, you have to buy it, with some other form of currency. Such as money.
The right thinks that political power is a side effect... something that you naturally accumulate while doing business.
Possibly this is because most wealthy right-wing people are investors. They start a project, or put money into it, and they expect to get their money back and then some. That's what they are used to.
That's how investment works.
But that's not how power works.
And if you have wealth, but no power, then the people with power will just take whatever you built.
I don't know exactly what the tech right, the business right, the wealthy right, should be spending on political power. But what they are spending is clearly not enough and in the wrong places.
Because George Soros sure as hell isn't selling people tickets to listen to him talk.
Almost weighs as much as I do now
You want proof @ICEgov is treating people well this prisoner gained 115 POUNDS in one week!!!
OpenAI CEO Sam Altman says it’s “quite terrible” that people have so much DRAM sitting in their own PCs instead of being used in data centers.
“Everyone have a bunch of the world’s limited supply of DRAM sitting in their own computer. And be used 5% of the time,”
He argues that cloud data centers should make better use of limited memory supplies instead of people running AI models locally.
I have a bit with my friends where the way you'll earn your ubi in the future is to work a shift at a "data center" where they use your brain to run their calculations. Turns out I was being too optimistic, you've already been displaced out of a job you didn't have yet.
today, we introduce a little mischief to the world.
for four years, we’ve been brewing real brain cells on electrodes to understand how they compute. now, we’ve turned those discoveries into a video model anyone can use.
from 0.5¢ a second, mischief 1 is at least 5x faster than its base and the cheapest image-to-video model on @fal and @OpenRouter. soon to be on @awscloud marketplace.
it’s not a delusion anymore. biocompute is real, commercial and this is just the beginning.
happy halloween.

This is all BS, and worse: it’s mentally ill
The reason there is no "right-wing art" is because art expresses a justification and defense of a political order, and we currently live under a Leftist moral Regime which makes right-wing art illegal. Every government is a one-party state. In the Roman Republic, it was illegal to make art promoting the Tarquin kings. In Shakespeare's time, it would've been illegal to make art calling for the destruction of kings and queens. In Stalin's Russia, it would've been illegal to praise the old aristocracy. That's the crux. In order to make "right-wing art", there would need to be a right-wing political project worth defending. Under a right-wing Regime, it will be illegal to make left-wing art. Our Founding Fathers would've banned any reference to transgender child castration and Third World mass migration.
Art is a symbolic expression of the questions and tensions of a people.
Culture is the propagation of beliefs and social norms of a shared tradition.
Art symbolically interrogates the political formulas of the status quo. Art is used by various factions to contest social norms and to determine which values are legitimized or delegitimized, in order to determine who joins the ruling class.
Hollywood is a propaganda machine. It's not about money. It's not about free markets. Hollywood is able to broadcast the stories which give the American ruling class permission to exist in their current form. Media provides permissions structures and methods of political legitimacy.
Morality must choose. It must choose what is good and what is bad. In particular, there is an eternal contest between factions: priests, merchants, and soldiers. Art is used to communicate the decisions which have already been made by elites. Art tells the Normies what to think.
Perhaps the most important function of art is when soldiers, priests, and merchants compete among themselves to rank the 3 factions: dominant faction, subordinate junior partner, and the delegitimized faction who is kept down by the coordination of the larger 2 factions.
Leftists are losing. Hollywood is dying. Wokeness is dead. And we killed it. What comes next will be a Right-wing Regime, with right-wing art which justifies our victories and sends the Left into permanent exile.
I think there’s increasing evidence that cheaper and more accessible communication is in fact significantly bad along multiple dimensions and that it’s even possible that the bad outweighs the good. I understand that it’s really cool that you get to move thousands of miles away from home and still talk to mom, but at some point that doesn’t outweigh literally everything else.
There are some people that are so incredibly isolated in their own worlds that they have no idea how bad the economy is for the average person.
The entirety of my exposure to the game Valorant is rage compilations and I just don't get how you can get so mad about a game that looks like CS and OW had a child but from like 2006
I think Matt is generally correct. The movies are awesome but flawed. I wouldn't necessarily call them high cinema and I think they're getting a second life partially because of just how bad the sequel trilogy is. LoTR is more relevant to our situation anyways.
They fail at being epic operas even more than they fail at realism. The writing and acting is mostly flat and boring. Same goes for the cinematography. There’s nothing operatic about it. Epic perhaps in theory but certainly not in execution. You guys have created a version of the Star Wars prequels in your heads (a version that sounds pretty interesting, if only it existed) and have grafted it onto the actual films which in reality fail at whatever they were trying to do, unless they were trying to be verbose, clumsy, wooden, and bland.
It’s very clear to the rest of us that the people trying to rehab the Star Wars prequels are just nostalgic for something that they enjoyed as kids. That’s fine. I have a nostalgic attachment to some crappy 90s movies like Independence Day for example. It came out when I was 10 and at the time it seemed to me like the greatest cinematic achievement in history. But then I grew up and I can now see that Will Smith punching an alien and saying “welcome to earf” is not a high point of western art. And that’s fine. It’s stupid but I still remember it fondly. You don’t have to try so hard to intellectualize some dumb bullshit you liked when you were a kid. It’s okay. It can just be dumb bullshit, which it is.
