Waterloo Warbirds is heartbroken to hear of the passing of our team member and friend Steve Zago.
We extend our deepest condolences to Steve’s wife Holly, his family, friends and colleagues.
Steve will be missed by all of us at Waterloo Warbirds. Blue skies, Steve!

Every year as we kick off our flying season, we get together as a team for recurrent training on our aircraft and ground procedures. This helps us deliver safe and successful flights every time. As we finish that training today we’re getting even more excited for a great season!
This #NationalAviationDay we're celebrating the moments we get in the air. From feeling the G's to seeing the ground above you to the freedom of being in the sky, there‘s nothing like it. We're lucky to enjoy the marvel of flight and the incredible aviation community year round!
This morning we had the pleasure of hosting cadets from our local squadron to dive deep into our fleet and talk about the history of Canadian aviation. It’s always a pleasure to spend time with these passionate and knowledgeable future aviators!
This year saw many bucket list flights, community events and 4 seasons of aviation fun. We’re lucky to be able to share our passion for vintage aircraft all year round and can’t wait to see everything 2026 has in store! Thank you all for your support. Happy New Year, everyone!

Due to poor forecasted weather, we unfortunately have to cancel our flyover. While we are passionate about honouring our veterans & service members, the safety of our pilots, aircraft & community is our priority. We join you all in honouring our heroes from the ground today.
This Tuesday, November 11 we’ll be taking to the skies to honour and pay tribute to those who have fought for our freedoms. Our L-29 will fly a route in and around Waterloo Region and our Harvard will be supporting a flight out of town. Stay tuned for updates!
