This was @JEChalmers when the Reserve Bank of Australia lifted rates once in 2022.
How well has this aged @jamesmassola @paulsakkal
#auspol
RBA raises cash rate to 4.85%. The highest it has been since 2008 when RUDD & LABOR were in power then.
That is 5 rises this year.
That is 17 rises since Labor was elected in 2022.
FAIL Dr Jim.
FAIL Albo.
FAIL Labor.
Poor old Australia under Labor!!!

In 2018, Albanese said a parliamentary committee finding that Peter Dutton misled Parliament meant he “should resign” under Westminster principles.
In 2026, Albanese told Parliament a $6m grant to his local Marrickville Golf Club (where he’s an honorary member) was for sewerage works. Officials later confirmed sewerage was “not in the scope of the grant.” He admitted the claim was “not correct.”
Still Prime Minister. No resignation. Just a different standard when the boot is on the other foot. Tick tock Albo.

Albo’s golf club rort is the gift that keeps on giving - and Credlin nailed why it’s killing him.
As Angus Taylor asked in Parliament: the PM promised no CGT or negative gearing changes, then did them. Promised a $275 power bill cut he never delivered.
Denied mocking the Japanese PM when he did. Denied falling off a stage when he did. Claimed his $6m Marrickville Golf Club grant, 200m from his house, was for sewerage when it wasn’t.
Said the program wasn’t invite only when it was.
Why does this PM have such a difficult relationship with the truth?
Credlin is nailed it, this crystallises his incompetence and deceit, and marks a confident Opposition Leader’s ascendancy.
He was an honorary member for 14 years, undisclosed until caught. The invite only process involved a former staffer.
The NSW government already fixed the actual sewerage issue. Instead of admitting it was for clubhouse upgrades, he doubled down.
The Senate is now probing the wider $560m pork barrel.
Same pattern elsewhere: hundreds of thousands to Labor’s own Ballarat Trades Hall/union HQ.
Meanwhile, veterans and over 65s cop cuts. It stinks. A
previously underwhelming PM is becoming loathed because, as Credlin keeps showing, he treats the truth as optional.
So @Joe_Hildebrand goes into bat for the liar @AlboMP in the @dailytelegraph today regarding the Marrickville Golf Club fiasco. If this wasn’t grey corruption then my local golf course at Gosford would also be given $6m . Albo should do what’s right given he has misled parliament

We’ve had enough. Albanese repeatedly claimed the $6m for his local golf club was to stop raw sewage pouring into the river. He was lying. Officials confirmed it’s for clubhouse renovations, a new bar and landscaping. He held an undeclared membership.
Bridget McKenzie resigned over a $36k grant and club membership. This is pure pork-barrelling.
Australians are done with the lies and the double standards.

Anthony Albanese previously called for the National Anti Corruption Commission to go after other politicians - now he’s trying to block it from locking into him.
Anthony Albanese once called politically allocated grants corrupt and promised a National Anti Corruption Commission to stop “blatant rorting.”
His government then directed three quarters of its infrastructure grants to Labor seats, including $6.05 million to the Marrickville Golf Club near a home he owns.
He told Parliament the money was for sewerage works.
That was a lie.
This is the same man who said of Bridget McKenzie and the sports rorts scandal:
“She’s got to go, this is just red hot, this is just a rort, it fails the pub test”
He demanded ministers resign for less.
He rejected the same deflections when Scott Morrison used them. Now the NACC he created is buried in delays, and the audit office that exposed previous rorts is running in deficit.
People have stood down for far less.
Australia no longer trusts a leader who spent years calling this behaviour corrupt, then got caught doing it.
How does he still hold the top job?

Albo demanded the resignation of Bridget McKenzie over a $36,000 Grant to a shooting club she was a member of.
But is perfectly fine for Albo to give $6 million to a club he is a member of and attended frequently.

Thank you Pauline Hanson for not only delivering humour but also hard hitting facts during these cartoons. No wonder the media class hate them.

Marrickville golf club grant isn't going away. Albanese is hoping he can squirm and lie until Thursday, when he breaks for christmas. That's right. Thursday is their last day then they break for christmas while you slug your guts out. Albanese and his golf club mates will be laughing all the way to the bank. I bet the beers are free for albo and his and missus. $6 million bucks on the bar tab.

With unemployment at a five-year high of 4.7%, @JEChalmers and @AlboMP are making it harder for Australians to start businesses and create jobs.
Rushing a CGT Bill into Parliament with barely any notice and a few start-up carve-outs won’t fix the damage. This is economic vandalism. What are your thoughts? #StoptheCGTtoGetAhead #JoinWARonCGT

This is @AlboMP in 2020 commenting on then Coalition Minister Bridget McKenzie who admitted to breaching ministerial standards by failing to formally declare her membership at the Wangaratta Trap and Gun Club, which received $36,000 in federal funding through a Sports Funding program. She resigned.
Thanks to @rovingallround for the clip.

BREAKING: Department of Infrastructure officials have just confirmed what many suspected: the $6 million federal grant to Marrickville Golf Club in Anthony Albanese’s electorate was not for fixing sewerage issues.
Albanese repeatedly told Parliament and the ABC that the money was to stop raw sewage flowing into the Cooks River during floods.
Officials at Senate estimates were clear: “It does not include sewerage works.”
The actual project, according to departmental briefs, FOI documents and council minutes:
$4.5m went to the clubhouse redevelopment (bar, toilets, pro shop, alfresco dining, dog station)
$1m stormwater harvesting.
$0.5m landscaping/native plantings
The septic/sewage connection was handled separately by a $269,500 NSW Government grant in 2025.
This is the same club where Albanese held an undisclosed honorary membership dating back years, something he says he didn’t know about and never used, despite being caught on camera at the club hundreds of times.
People have been forced to stand down over far less.
Barry O’Farrell resigned as NSW Premier in 2014 after ICAC evidence showed he received a bottle of Penfolds Grange (valued at around $3,000) that he failed to declare and initially denied receiving.
One bottle. One denial. Career over.
Here we have a Prime Minister whose department has contradicted his public statements about a $6 million grant to a club in his own seat, after an undeclared membership was revealed, and he remains in office.
If a bottle of Grange ended a Premier, what standard are we applying now?
Will Prime Minister Anthony Albanese give Australians a straight answer and admit he misled the House on the Marrickville Golf Club grant? #qt
