Sorry but you have got it wrong @RobertJenrick You should not be involving yourself, it's just a business and businesses fail. Woolworths did, Debenhams did, Wilko did, Denby Pottery etc etc. If you want to blame someone then blame @UKLabour
When I first raised Poundland last week, I was told by Westminster talking heads and the Tories that it was certainly “kaput” and the 12,000 jobs must all inevitably go. Some leaned in, arguing the “creative destruction” would be good. Others made a stupid straw man argument that I was proposing to nationalise it. As if you can’t even question bosses when so much is at stake. They showed scant interest in the workers, suppliers or frankly the taxpayer. My point was, and remains, why should a business be put into administration when there appears to be multiple offers to buy it as a going concern on the table? That doesn’t seem to be in the best interest of the taxpayer, the workers or the suppliers. The taxpayer alone stands to lose hundreds of millions if this business needlessly goes under with unpaid taxes and benefits. And since I made this argument, we’ve learnt of more potential offers. There has been another in the last 24 hours. As of today, there appear to be at least three bidders - maybe four. I can’t opine on their credibility, but it doesn’t suggest Poundland is “kaput”. Gordon Brothers haven’t responded to my letter. They need to account for their actions. I’m pleased my intervention has promoted others to enter the fray, in government and in parliament. A government that cares about working people asks searching questions in these situations. It doesn’t throw workers to the wolves. That’s not anti-business, contrary to what some out of touch ideologues say. You can bet they would take a different view if it was a different type of business to Poundland. The employees of firms like this are to them, as a former Prime Minister once said to me when I was arguing over a similar point, “just fungible low wage workers”. Reform UK is the party of working people. We’ll unashamedly stand up for them. To defend free markets, you sometimes have to expose their excesses. Let’s hope raising this can save as many jobs as possible at Poundland this Christmas.

This is an insult to every single business in Britain. From the family run, to small and medium size business, they are the backbone of the UK economy, led by people who work 7 days a week, who have risked their own money and made personal sacrifices to provide employment and economic security to people across the country. Labour are the most ignorant and dogmatic government of our time when it comes to understanding the basic facts about business and the economy. mol.im/a/16256477

This morning I announced I was continuing to buy energy B plc shares as Chairman. Why? Because to me - now that the Company has a path to 100% of the Gatwick Energy Site for £1.2m and we now have big family office support, I want more. Historic oil from HH-1 of 211,000 barrels of top quality oil and 20 million cubic feet of gas #NRGB aquis.eu/stock-exchange/anno…

To buy the Gatwick Energy Site for £1.2m when it has had £40m spent on it in the last decade is a real coupe for energy B plc. energybplc.com/templates/reg…. Our market cap is only just above £2m and the board - of which I Chair - are very excited about the way things are going. #NRGB #London #oil #gas #UKenergyindependence

Bloke is a nutter. All our power bills are at least 40% higher than they should be due to @Ed_Miliband Net Zero policy. Where is our £300 reduction promised over 2 years ago @UKLabour @andyburnham
Ed Miliband explains why the Labour government must send British foreign aid to Pakistan. He says British taxpayers must pay Pakistan for climate damage due to responsibility and to show solidarity. Does he truly speak for Great Britain? Yes or no?

Take care it is not a scam. Potential Scams: Fraudsters have mimicked this exact HMRC department header, font, and BX9 1LH postcode in fake "compliance" letters designed to trick businesses into handing over financial or tax information.
