Today, we celebrate Nigeria @66. 🇳🇬
But we have one question…
What if the founders of Nigeria had attended the Web3Bridge Founder Residency?
Maybe the conversations around building, innovation and solving real problems would have started a little differently. 😉
Either way, 66 years later, we’re still building, still innovating and still imagining what Nigeria can become.
Happy Independence Day, Nigeria. 🇳🇬

-@Web3Bridge isn't dead. Founder Ayodeji Awosika (@Ebunayo08) says it’s pivoting.
After 7 years of training developers, the organisation is moving into an 8–12-week Founder Residency for early-stage African startups across Web3, AI, fintech and more.
The first cohort will be capped at 50 teams.

@Web3Bridge is not shutting down, @Ebunayo08 told me in an exclusive chat for @technextdotng that the platform is pivoting from only training tech talents into an African Startup Founders Residence. It's set to open call for its first cohort by end of October 2026.

Very proud of the work my leader @Ebunayo08 is doing!
You’ve made real impact in people’s lives and the scale of what you’re doing is incredible.
Web3Bridge Founder Residency is also coming at a perfect time when we need more founders to have a place and that enabling environment where they can lock in, build and focus on turning their ideas into real products.
I can’t wait to see the companies that will come out of this.
Well done, my leader! 👏👏👏
Now that we’ve closed shop.
Here’s everything you need to know.👇

The first company to give me an actual shot. I came in with zero social media knowledge or skills, worse? I had zero idea about web3…..but you accepted me regardless.
Thank you for everything @Web3Bridge
Family forever ❤️
We are sad to announce that Web3Bridge has closed up shop.
For the past seven years, Web3Bridge has dedicated itself to training developers from different parts of Africa. It has been an incredible journey for all of us. We have watched people walk through our doors with little more than curiosity and leave as developers, builders, founders and contributors to an ecosystem that was still finding its feet.
But over the years, we have also seen something else.
We have seen the ecosystem change. We have seen the needs of our community change. And we have had to ask ourselves a very important question:
Is training developers enough anymore?
So, as we cross into our seventh year, we have decided to….. stay tuned.

Onwards!
A job well done @Ebunayo08 and team, the Web3Bridge #500NigeriaDevs4Eth program was a key part of my entry into Smart contracts and EVM. I appreciate the opportunity and work over the years, and wish you and the team @Web3Bridge the very best 💪

While some of you were having a fun-filled weekend, some people were fighting for their careers in tech. 😭😂
Last week, we had the Cohort XV Eviction Test and Project Presentation, two major moments that put everything they’ve been learning to the test.
From defending their projects to proving they were ready to move on to the next stage, it was definitely not the most relaxing weekend for Cohort XV.
But that’s the journey: learn, build, get tested, improve, and keep going.
In Web3, it is so easy to feel like you’re already behind before you’ve even had the chance to properly understand what you’re learning, considering there are constantly new protocols, languages, narratives, AI developments, etc.
This post is a reminder for anyone currently feeling pressured, or overwhelmed.
The people who seem ahead of you have had years of experience. Some have failed more times than the wins they share. Some are just better at hiding the hard parts.
So, stay off the edge for a bit. Give yourself grace for how far you’ve come. You’re doing fine.
Have a productive week. 🚀
A consistent builder will eventually meet his luck.
Keep learning. Keep building.
Your time will come.

This is what Week 8 of Cohort XV looks like.
Our students are still deep in Solidity class, learning directly from one of the best developer and builder in the ecosystem. @Timidan_x 🔥🚀

Chelsea lost. 😭
The week was a lot.
Monday has arrived again.
At this point, there’s only one thing left to do: Get your happy on and keep going.😁
New week, fresh opportunities, new things to learn and new reasons to show up.
Don’t let one bad result define your week. Happy Monday from Web3Bridge! 🚀

September, we’re ready for you. 🤌🏾
More learning. More building.
More trying, failing, figuring things out and trying again.
Whatever this month brings, we’re showing up for it.
New month, new positions.
Let’s make it pump. 🚀

A beautiful day to say thank you to everyone who was part of @Web3LagosCon; sponsors, speakers, attendees, vendors, friends and well wishers.
5th year is done and all lessons taken, and we will be back to drawing board to do more!
If you found Web3Lagos newly after conversations we have had on here, let me do an introduction.
@Web3bridge is the team behind the conference and over almost 7years ago, Web3bridge has devoted time, energy, resources to grow the web3 developer pipeline in Africa. Our work at Web3bridge has created easy path into Web3 development training and ease of access directly and indirectly to hiring top web3 talent in the continent.
I won't be wrong to say, every Web3 protocol that has come into the continent especially Nigeria has benefited directly and indirectly from the job we have done over the last years.
Our program has birthed many program, birthed/motivated many conferences, paved way for many to become financially settled (we have seen over $4m flow to our alumni in salary, grants, retrodrops and others), helped/supported many to travel out of the shores of the country.
Supported so many hackathons, hubs (we currently house the Ethereum hub in Web3bridge) and our devs are contributing to companies in web3 and traditional finance.
We started off as a remote only program and today we can proudly sleep 200 devs/builders, have facility to host 4 learning sessions concurrently in our classrooms, will be working a 1000 capacity hall soon too.
Our grassroot effort is being studied by many protocols in and out of Africa when building developer programs and we are happy to keep supporting the ecosystem, as we will soon announce our founders/builders pipeline.
Happy to chat about how we can work together. DM is open and you can reach out on Telegram Ebunayo08
