If Northampton Town win 1-0, Gillingham would go through on goals scored
Cambridge United did us a favour tonight, Gillingham now go into the game next week, knowing that a draw or win would be enough for Gills to qualify for the next round of The Football League Trophy
Am I right in thinking that Northampton would need to be Gillingham by +2 goals in order to knock us out the top 2 of our EFL trophy group.
Basically, we are very close to finally reaching the knockout stages. For once 😂
@FOM_BLOG is this correct?

Whaaatttt?
Why have they doubled down on this 😂
Really concerning, feels a little dictatorial
The appeals against the red cards issued to Kai Payne and Kane Drummond have been unsuccessful.
Both players will now be suspended for the matches against Northampton, Sheffield Wednesday and Shrewsbury. #oafc

I never make it easy for people mate 🤣
For me it’s between that and crediting Gareth for being bold with his changes in terms of how many.
Could’ve done one or two to make a gesture but didn’t just do that.
I want to pick all 4. But gone for midfield balance
Well that was a lot more like it wasn’t it!
Back to being super solid, a midfield combination that ticked all the boxes, a threat in forward areas & a strong bench if required.
Biggest take away from that one?

One of the best of the season for me, perhaps the best given we had to dig in & win a tight fought encounter.
Super day out.
Whilst I appreciate there was an element of fortune in our goal, Bradley Dack was heavily involved.
Goal came after the substitutions so perhaps we give Ainsworth some credit for the changes that impacted the game. I am one of the first to criticise him when it comes to substitution decisions.
Credit if credit is due :)

Sensational weekend, cracking away day all round. Shrewsbury is a great place by the way.
But most importantly, 3 points… 🔵

🎥 REMEMBERING RICHARD GREEN ON A THREE POINT HALLOWEEN
🗓️ 31st October 2026
🏆 League Two
🆚 Shrewsbury Town
🏟️ New Meadow
After last week’s home of horrors that was the perfect riposte, a performance full of endeavour, grit & enough moments of quality to secure all three points.
In fairness to our hosts, they more than played their part in an entertaining encounter as both teams were only intent on winning throughout.
We couldn’t have asked for a better start, Harry Waldock notching his first senior goal inside two minutes before both keepers exchanged saves prior to half time.
The second period followed a similar pattern, and we were pegged back from the spot just before the hour, but could have immediately regained the lead if not for a fine Will Brook save.
We did get ourselves back in front with 10 minutes to play though, Andy Smith tapping home from six yards in front of the away fans to ultimately seal the win.
