Your hardware wallet isn't foolproof. If the interface you're using has been compromised, you could be signing a malicious transaction without even knowing it. Blind signing remains a problem. Clear signing. Always.
And self-custody isn’t safer just because Binance got hit. Sophisticated attackers go after large pots of money. Regular people still get drained constantly through phishing and bad opsec — and there’s no SAFU fund to make them whole.

For me, Binance is the benchmark for security in crypto. If Binance can be hacked, then I seriously question how safe this entire industry really is. Full stop. I’ll start liquidating my assets gradually until I’m completely out of crypto. Honestly. We might see another 10/10

One has to wonder if the Binance hack would have happened under CZ's leadership. But the bigger question is how an exchange handling billions in digital assets can protect itself against increasingly sophisticated cyberattacks. Security must evolve as fast as the threats.

Good reminder. Binance have/had a policy to not allow current employees to have Binance on their profiles (unless public facing). Will pass the message for them to double check. Most LinkedIn profiles with Binance are scammers though.

This isn't just the biggest heist in crypto, it’s likely the biggest heist ever in recorded history. On the plus side, the response and commitment to refund the client base was lightning fast. Binance has already started buying some tokens on the market and will make OTC purchases of tokens with low liquidity.
Binance has begun recovering affected assets for users and continues to work with law enforcement, issuers, blockchain intelligence firms and industry partners to trace, freeze and recover additional funds. The company has already publicly committed to cover losses through company funds in the prior announcement. Binance has already reserved over $6.34B of company funds to cover this incident. $5B of these funds are already held in the exact token assets that were impacted. We are completing the purchase of the remaining amount by buying token assets through market channels and OTC channels. We are doing this to match the format of the remaining token assets and address any asset shortfalls. This step can take longer because some tokens may have low liquidity and OTC settlement also takes time. We will share more progress as soon as we can. These figures do not include frozen or protected assets, which remain subject to ongoing recovery and verification. Currently, $3bn has been frozen, with thanks to our industry partners. We are working with partners and law enforcement to recover the frozen assets. We will continue to use company resources to cover confirmed shortfall and will provide further verified updates as recovery efforts progress. Ultimately, all user funds will be verified publicly through our Proof of Reserves. We will weather this storm. Thank you for the support.

A low is being established right now. It’ll most likely hit between this week and the end of next week, though it could stretch into mid-November. $BTC should then rally for about a month into an early December high.

Is it possible to make gains even with a low win-rate? Oh yes, you can. Just watch Weiss senior analyst Juan Villaverde breaking down one of his favorite strategies in this video: youtube.com/watch?v=FDhjDLnl…

The big correction, according to our forward-looking indicators, runs from the November/December top into at least January. All our indicators indicate a bigger low sometime in January or February. That could be the next best buying opportunity on the horizon. #NFA #DYOR
Near-term top hit around $87,000.  This level was tested twice (double top) before Bitcoin began to pull back. We expect a dip to ~$80,000 within 10 to 20 days, with a low the week of Oct. 19.

With how mild this correction is shaping up to be, we don’t expect a big run into the next top due in late November or early December. We expect the deeper correction to come in early 2027.

What investors should wait to see from ethereum:0x56a3ba04e95d34268a19b2a4474dc979babdaf76 before taking action: - Continued growth in recurring users, paid activity and protocol fees across Sentient Chat, Arena and the wider GRID. - Evidence that users and developers need SENT for payments, staking and governance. - Strong applications emerging from the $42 million ecosystem program. - Signs that the price has formed a bottom and the downtrend is beginning to reverse. The January 2027 unlocks remain the main deadline. Sentient needs to show that demand is growing before such a large supply becomes available. #DYOR #NFA
Sentient will face strong competition. $TAO, $FET, $NEAR and several other decentralized AI projects are already competing for developers, users and investor attention. Liquidity remains relatively modest as well: With a circulating market cap below $100 million and daily trading volume in the single-digit millions, ethereum:0x56a3ba04e95d34268a19b2a4474dc979babdaf76 can move sharply in either direction.

A project can attach the letters “AI” to its name, release a token and build an impressive story around technology that barely exists. ethereum:0x56a3ba04e95d34268a19b2a4474dc979babdaf76 is different. It’s trying to solve a real problem within the AI sector: AI model ownership. AI models are either open-source — meaning anyone can build and use it — or they’re closed-source. In the latter, only developers hired by the company can build for the model. And to access its output, users have to pay. Since open-source AI is, well, open, developers have struggled to find a way to earn from their work. Sentient hopes to change that.

An important reminder: These are timing indicators. They don’t predict price. But with additional insight from our analysts, we expect to see: - A mild correction, 10% to 15% at most, for Bitcoin in the second half of October. A little more for altcoins. - First week of December rally: a mild correction means this will likely be a mild rally. - Target is $BTC near $90,000 by year end.
Both indicators call for a correction for the next two weeks into the week of Oct. 19. After that, both call for a rally into early December. And both call for then another correction to wrap up 2026.

$BTC spent three months following the bond market instead of liquidity. The two have now realigned. Both call for a correction from this week into the week of Oct. 19.

That doesn’t strike us as unreasonable for a rapidly growing crypto application. The bigger question is whether $PONS can sustain anything close to the current level of activity. That’s what we now need to find out.
Could $PONS reach $1 billion in market cap? At the recent $76 million annualized protocol revenue run rate, a $1 billion valuation would be roughly 13x annualized protocol revenue.

The tokenomics are worth watching. Under PONS V1, around 80% of protocol revenue funds market buybacks and burns of $PONS. More V1 trading → more fees → more buybacks → lower supply.
