Thunderstorms clearing out the patios Friday evening in Kansas City! Pea size hail and very strong wind gusts, too. It should be pretty soggy the rest of the night.

Monday evening could get STORMY! Strong thunderstorms are possible into the overnight hours. The greatest threat appears to be in Oklahoma, but eastern Kansas could see a few strong storms, too. Let's not get too concerned around KC, we'll keep watching this one and update you

It wasn't a tornado! The NWS says Tuesday night's widespread damage across northern Kansas City was caused by downburst and straight-line winds exceeding 70 mph. A reminder that severe thunderstorms can cause significant damage without a tornado.
