He followed her into a shop and then stabbed her just because she said NO. Then our woeful justice system treated her like collateral damage and him like the one who mattered.
This 14 yr old boy became obsessed with a girl at school after she ended it and refused to date him. He then harassed her on fake accounts, waited in a car park, followed her into a shop with a kitchen knife and stabbed her in the neck, face and hands in a frenzied attack. When the shopkeeper tried to stop him, he stabbed him in the back too. Luckily, she managed to run away.
The sentence? A PATHETIC 12 month referral order and a three year restraining order for a premeditated and calculated attack.
No custody.
The judge described it as "very troubling", but then decided he wasn't a danger because he's "still young" and "capable of learning." The girl now flinches when someone lifts a hand near her. She has nightmares. She won't walk outside alone. If that was my daughter I can't write here what I'd do.
But that's the takeaway message here and in cases similar, that her trauma is an unfortunate side effect whereas his future is the priority.
If that sentence makes your blood boil like it did mine then you can ask the Attorney General to review it as unduly lenient. Anyone can do this and you have 28 days from sentencing (on 21 September so until around 19 October) to do this. It takes 5 minutes to do and by law, each one has to be reviewed.

Reason: This was a planned public knife attack where yhe offender waited for the victim, followed her into a shop armed with a kitchen knife, stabbed her repeatedly to the neck, face and hands after she refused a relationship, then stabbed the shopkeeper who tried to intervene. The victim has been left with lasting trauma and fear. This does not make a referral order an adequate response to a premeditated stabbing in a public place that could easily have been fatal. The sentence treats the offender's rehabilitation as the central concern and the victim's harm as secondary. It falls outside the range reasonably available for this offending.

While the blogger, @DoctorTurtleboy, continues to soothe himself by ignoring evidence presented at trial, it’s important to remember what the evidence actually showed.
There is no evidence John O’Keefe entered the home. His phone stopped moving at 12:32:16 a.m., at the same time Karen reversed and the Techstream recorded Trigger 2, 74.5% throttle and up to 24 mph. That does not mean John was struck at 24 mph. The testimony was that speeds of 8 mph or higher could break the taillight.
The sally port door closed at 5:40 p.m., and the first taillight piece was documented at the scene at 5:45 p.m. Taillight shards were found in John’s clothing, and the broken glass, his shoe, his hat, and straw were recovered at the scene.
Yet people are supposed to believe in a “mystery man” who planted the taillight and “someone, we don’t know who, moved John”, while ignoring his phone data showing it was in a pocket state, no movement, and dropping battery temperature.
It is also worth noting that while the blogger talks about a “mystery man,” Karen Read’s federal court filings make claims that point to Proctor or Bukhenik regarding the alleged “planting”. But neither was present during the SERT search of 34 Fairview.
At some point, the narrative has to answer to the evidence, not the other way around.

I paid for a private sleeper compartment from Vienna to Amsterdam.

I looked into this because I didn’t believe the headline I saw online.
In 1991, Green stabbed his pregnant wife to death in Detroit. She was six months pregnant.
He later pleaded no contest to second-degree murder and served roughly 16 years in prison.
Green was denied parole multiple times before finally being released in 2008.
One of the people who had supported his release was Pastor Fred Harris, who wrote letters arguing that Green had changed and could return to the community.
Then came the twist no one could have imagined:
Green later married Faith Harris-Green — the pastor’s own daughter.
They married in 2010.
Six years later, in September 2016, Green unleashed another horrific attack inside their Dearborn Heights, Michigan home.
Prosecutors said Green killed Faith’s two youngest children, Koi, 5, and Kaleigh, 4, using carbon monoxide.
He then bound Faith with duct tape and zip ties, cut her face with a box cutter, shot her in the foot, and shot her two older children, Chadney, 19, and Kara, 17.
Faith survived.
All four of her children were dead.
Then Green did something chillingly similar to what he had done after the first killing:
He called 911 himself.
Police found him waiting outside the home.
This was not a man with no known history.
This was a convicted murderer who had already killed a pregnant woman, served time, been paroled, married into the family of a pastor who believed he had changed — and then killed four more people inside that family.
In February 2017, Green pleaded guilty to four counts of second-degree murder, along with additional charges connected to the attack on Faith.
On March 1, 2017, he was sentenced to 47 to 102 years in prison.
The sentence effectively meant he would not be eligible for parole until approximately age 97.
And the detail that makes this case especially hard to wrap your head around:
The pastor who once advocated for Gregory Green’s release later became the grandfather of four children Green murdered.
